Making unenforceable rules is as dumb in video games as it is in life. A clear warning is all new people need, and more than rich idiots deserve.

Doesn't change the fact that recruitement channel was used to find a victim while the rule was up there to not do it.

Basicly the MOTD got changed after the fact and as such the fact falls within the punishable timespan.

This was a clearly breach of something a GM ordered to follow. If it was bullcrap or not, it's not up to the playerbase to break a rule in place in order to get the rule changed or removed.
The correct way is by petitioning the rule and get it altered that way.

If CCP fails to follow it's own ruling in this case there clearly is a bias towards certain player(groups) and as such CCP can't be seen as impartial anymore.

I know a load of Goons like Harlott will come and throw in some crap again. But Recruitement channel was used as platform to find the target while the rule to not do so was up there. The transgression to not obey that rule was the players choice, to not follow a GM's directive and break the rule.

Clearly the best course of action to maintain the integrity of CCP enforcement is to attempt to retroactively enforce an unenforceable rule that was removed precisely because its failed enforcement degrades the integrity of CCP enforcement.

I might appear dumb, fact is ToS rule 6 was broken and as such CCP has no other way out than enforcing their own rule if they want to appear unbiased.

Changing a rule after the fact without repurcussions for the transgressor would make the decission making of CCP look less impartial and in favour for certain playstyles/player(groups)

It doesn't matter if a rule is dumb or not. An authorized CCP person put that rule up there and a player decided not to follow that rule. Simple as that.

If that were to be common we might aswel throw all rules out of the window. Everyone can just break any rule because there will always be groups which find a particular rule or set of rules dumb.

Sadly allot of people fall for it. A simple google search will tell anyone how to actually apply to GSF and get in without getting scammed.

They're actually new player friendly, but stupid player unfriendly.

If they did contact you from rec channel then yes they are not allowed. But it amazes me how many people join goons, KNOWING that they are scammers? I really dont understand it... They have one of the biggest alliances, but are known for scamming new recruits so how the feck do they get so many dumb people?

This is why eve is pretty fecked cos of alliances like this. CCP seriously if you want more new players to stay in eve this is the reason why they wont and dont. But you still insist on allowing scamming...

Waiting on bitter vets to jump in with typical HTFU post..

He dosnt know and asks for help from a director thats where the man Testobjekt comes into the picture and it goes down hill from there. I know you got strict ruels and such and i totaly understand that, but he starts to question me with a wery offensive and angry aproach, and we come up with that i need to pay atleast 75% of all my assets in deposit for joining so in good heart and trush in this guy and third flower i start trying tog ather the 2,6 bill more he wants from me and my brother. it takes a few hrs and its ready.

But then somthing happends Third flower sends me a mail that i dont really pay atention to but later i get to know it contains the info of a 100 bill cargo from VFK to jita and the time of departure, that ofc is very clasafied info. and Testobjekt gets very mad and we are told that our aplications have been canceled and we are blacklistet from goons cus of Third flowers mistake. After a bit of talk again he agrees that we still have a chance of joining again but to do that we would be required to give the rest bit of assets we have including 2x t3's with subsystems. I talk it over with my bro and he agrees we still very much want to be a part of this and experience war on a scale we cant anywhere in the game so we agrees and call it a night after the transfer.
Then this morning i talk to Testobjekt again and he tells me its not enough and gives me a fine for a reason i dont know. The fine is 500 mill that i have to pay before 14.00 eve time and he tells me after that i can join, so i do my best but ends up short i use every last drop i have to try and make it and ends up with 250 mill and we discuss it and he tells me to pay it to him and after i join i get a new fine of 1bill.

Then downtime hits and afterwards he tells me its off and if i want a chance i need to get new 500 mill so the Gia have told him.

but after giving away ca 7.5 bill in assets i got no more and have to tell him i cant:

Thats pretty much it and im wondering if thats the way Goonwaffe do rip honest ppl off who wish to join their ranks and fight along side of them. Right now i feel ripped off and buttfucked was in good belife the hole way but was clearly desived. so would very much like to know if thats it thers no chance of Goonswarm for me ever and i will have to start all over again and spent years to build up what i had, or are there any chance i can get back what i gave in good belif to join your ranks or is everything gone for me
