one T1 fitted nutron-gank catalyst piloted by a 1 month old toon can kill a mack and its pilots pod in a .7 or lower B4 the po po make it on scene.

TSOs have try'd and tested this successfully on many occasions.

So judging from that graph 2/3 of all the ganking attempts in high sec are failed.

I would not say that.

Orca's and Freighters usually have 10-20 Battleships or Tornado's hitting them. Hulks are often wolf packed by multiple Destroyers. Smartbomb Battleships take out Multiple Targets at times. A lot of times you see 2-3 ships take part in a gank.

Their is little way to determine success from the Graph shown.

1 will do it, as someone else said, if they're yield-optimised. Which most are, but not all. Besides, urp-sploding idiots is so much more fun with friends Twisted

By the way, tell Burseg to re-upload the Battle of Chicken video, would ya--I LOL'ed, hard, at that one.

What is the average ISK loss from a freighter getting ganked in highsec?
I would assume the line has increased as suicides are now more expensive?

Limiting to high sec; 7 freighters and 1 jump freighter have been killed by either CONCORD or sentry guns since Trinity (Dec 2007).

takes some skill to be activity killed by concord in a freighter :p

what if you open it up to faction police as well Twisted

why are you encouraging Griefing CCP or is this part of your masterplan to grief out all the non pvp players who don't want to go to nullsec

I Have no problems with suicide ganking when it is done for a profit or when done as a contract killing or even done against someone acting very stupid
But right now it feels like a certain group of players ( a rather large group) is targetted specificly because of their playing style and that is wrong

You CCP created this universe with 3 distinct areas each with their own playing styles , but right now it feels like , not only for me but for alot of people that we are not welcome anymore to your game

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

Maybe
But like i said nobody is asking for a 100% safe universe that would be the death of the game and i even think a hulkaggedon once a year to weed out the bots and stupid players is a good thing and fun for some people , but like it is right now , when people are being targetted because you can easily and only to hurt them , that is wrong and goes against everything what a good MMO should be

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

There's a system called Evati that has two stargates - one for Anher which is a hisec, and other for Arnher which is a lowsec. Is there a way to know how many outlaws with sec status worse than -5 or gcc die in Anher? (possibly on the Evati gate, but that might be too specific, so global number for whole Anher system would be good as well) :)

I assume that'd be easy to answer as I don't believe that this naming scheme can be a coincidence, so someone at CCP probably already has a script or something like that to count it. ;)

My question:
Were any corcord ships with their insanely high resists killed, and did they drop any interesting ship equipment into the general population?

I think it's funny your expecting a decrease in suicide ganks just because of the removal of insurance from CONCORD deaths...
:P most of us are not suicide ganking for profit, we are suicide ganking for the killmails, the "tears" and the fun
it's the fact that 4-6 thrashers with tech 1 fittings can destroy a hulk with ease... and these 4-6 thrashers will only cost a total of 3-6wooping million :) while the poor hulk is worth about 200milion...

Alot of us care about the isk we destroy ingame vs the isk we lose by doing it, and not really by the potential profit of the kill (but often the loot from the hulk will even out the cost of the destroyers)

Sure we might go for a high value target with potential profit like a afk t2 hauler on a gate, but as said, thats only a bonus

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqc2gj_G2zY may I point you to this video I made of us doing this... note the fun we are having :D (sry about the sound quality as I was experimenting with dolby settings)

Talking about High sec empire space here...

Quite frankly, anyone engaging in criminal activity should NOT receive an insurance payout. WT* kind of insurance firm pays out for criminal behaviour??? Insane logic there.

Secondly, suicide ganking is a criminal offense to CONCORD. PPL shouldnt just lose a small bit of sec status over it. They should be penalised (much more of a sec status hit than currently) not only in sec status and protection by CONCORD response to blow the offending ship up but fined by CONCORD for it to the extent that they cannot make a career from it. They should get a faction hit too.

Danger is part of EVE, but Empire is controlled by an authority (CONCORD). If CONCORD isnt doing what it can to remove criminal behaviour from empire space, then its not doing its job.

Actually most of High Sec is controlled by the Empires themselves, CONCORD is more like the UN and Interpol with a large standing army.

EVE would be so much better if CONCORD got kicked to the curb, and the Empires resumed open hostilities with one another. Would be so sweat if that's what this War based expansion was about, but that's likely way too much to expect from CCP.

Heh, and we all know how incompetent the UN can be :D

All the more argument for a hefty faction hit then.

I really dont have much of a leg to stand on here since most of my operations are in low sec, but still, the way it is set up seems like broken logic to me.
