My first guess would be that it's a minor error in code caused when your client was written to your hard disk. I'd try using the repair tool to fix your client. Do the full repair, not the basic repair, because that's probably an uncommon issue that the basic repair might not catch.

If that doesn't work, you might try reinstalling your client. You could also just try to remember where your assets are. Sorry I can't help further, but I have a good feeling about the repair tool.

I have the exact same issue as the OP (asset window frozen on one account, but not others).

Reinstallation of the eve client did not help.

If the exact same issue is happening to multiple people, it may be a small compatibility issue. What are your guys' operating systems, video cards, and other specs?

Could you file a bug report on this please? It would be best if you file it from within the game (open the asset window, and when it fails, create the bug report, and include screenshots and stuff).
I do remember fixing a similar issue not too long ago, but I'm not sure if it is the same because I think there was a way to recover from it and get the window to work... I'll check tomorrow and let you know :)

I'm pretty sure I found the issue and have fixed it. The fix should be going out in the next few weeks.
Thanks to the person who bugreported it today :)

The problem seems to be that one of your "view" filters is set to a region/constellation/solarsystem where you no longer have any stuff. That should be ok, but there is a minor error in how it's dealt with so it fails.
Clearing your settings will fix the issue (and if you really, really don't want to do that, I can probably give you some instructions on how to fix it without clearing settings, but that involves going back to the station where you used to have stuff and put some stuff there).

If this isn't a shining example of good customer service and community relations, then I don't know what is Big smile

A forum dev reply on a Sunday afternoon, a bug report created by a player shortly after midnight with the logs needed to hunt down the problem, defect created from the bug report at 9:44 on Monday morning, fix submitted at 9:49 (one line of code) and you should have the fix in about a week or so.

Let's do this more often people! Big smile

(Sorry about this breakage though.)
