WormHole Improvements/Upgrades?

To get this out of the way Im new to this so my info is most likely wrong/out of date as im going off of corp mates.

What my mates have told me is that when every new expansion comes out everything changes, except for wormholes. From my info i have they have not been changed/upgraded/improved since eve came out. Right now you can only have a pos/gantrys in a wormhole atm. However, in claimable null sec you can occupy the system to set up pos' and territory claim units to build supercaps and what not. Now im probably wrong about this but having sov means ownership, so having a wh under your control should/could mean you own the wh as you fight for it just like you would a null sec system. So what would be cool to make whs more interesting/fun is if they could be claimable so you could build supercaps in (would also make for interesting battles). Also since whs are not supposed to be colonized or what not having a wh station that players could build would have to be self sufficient to survive so it has to be really big, what this could mean is that a wh station could allow you to dock your supercaps (also make supercap players happy and have more people building them). So thats my crazy idea


and yes im probably wrong/miss informed about my info so corrections are wanted.

You forgot to include WH specific SOV upgrades that would make life soo much more awesome to live in...

Not only could you get the standard stuff like Instantly respawning anoms, Plex and WH generators, and mining sites galore... but you could add new stuff too!! Upgrades that amplify special WH effects and things that decloak all ships in system for 3 minutes and things that actually let you have a local chat and things that allow you to mine the moons for moongoo and even a wh router so you can link a whole bunch of wh's together in an awesome wh constellation super sov space. Oh, and since its in the WH, the station should provide more than just supercap docking rights, it should also have guns and concord sleeper protection spawns to fight off intruders and rescue miners that big bad meanies try to shoot...

oh yeah... I forgots... the stations should allow building a new type of bomb that launches from a stealth bomber while its still cloaked and collapses WHs....

You know... I should also mention with WH Sov, not only should you be able to build supercaps, but you should be able to build new t3 supercaps!!!! Can you imagine the market for interdiction nullified titans... and maybe supercarriers with EWAR bonuses that can launch fleets of sleeper BS's instead of fighterbombers...

Oh my, I just get all excited thinking about....

forgive gizznitt, he has a tendency to use sarcasm when confronted with ignorance. i dont eman that abdly, but like you said, you are new.
the whole reason you CANNOT claim SOV in WH space is, like you said, your not SUPPOSED to be able to live in there, i've been hanging with some guys in wormholes for months now, and their general mindset si that wormholes dont need ANY "love". especially ANYTHINg that brings supercap warfare to the mainstream in wormholes. wormholes use POS's instead of stations ebcause there is supposed to eb ADDED risk in even BEING in one, not making it safer by being able to DOCK EVERYTHINg liek you suggested.

wormholes are also currently, by MANY people, considered the only part fo EvE not truly broken, and as such should not be touched until everything else is fixed. i personally LOVE wormholes the way they are, and ANY "love" aimed at making ANYTHING in wormholes more convenient, easier, or in any form "livable" is automatically a bad idea on the principal of what wormholes are suposed to represent in eve.

About the only improvement I can think of is to allow an extremely small chance of an ice grav site spawning. Something like 1% chance on grav site spawn that it will be an ice belt that has a mix of all ice types. Just like regular grav sites, there would be slightly different sized spawns.

^^ this actually yes, maybe 1 in 100 grav sites spawn a random ice type, or maybe just a small amount of all ice types, not enough to be like "omg never have to leave ever" but enough that should you be locked in your C5 or C6 for weeks at a time you can at least keep one or two REALLY IMPORTANT towers running and let the others offline until you can get supplies.

I agree that the whs are just fine like they are now. They were from the very beginning ment to be a space for small corps ( somewhat ) safe from attacks from big sov holders alliances. The only thing i would think to ( maybe ) allow is the clone bays. Probably already discussed a hundred times, so ignore :)
