So I'm currently running

3 installs of eve
a AMD Phenom quad core at 3.ghz
8Gb ddr3 ram
Hd 5670 for one monitor at 1650x1080
HD 6670 for one large monitor at 1920 x 1080
running windows 7

Before I dual boxed at around 35-40 fps now trying to triple box I only run at 20-25fps

Now my main issue is my machine isnt being taxed at the 3 versions of eve use around 4gb of ram and both video cards are only using about 50%

The cpu is around 60% so I have no idea what the bottle neck is anyone have a clue?

is the fps while docked in cq or in space? ;P

I have an i7 cpu and it seems to be okay for the same type of thing you're doing.
It sits about 30fps on each client.

[edit]nevermind, misread

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

is the client overlapping screens? that can hit fps badly on ati cards. make sure in the esc menu its set to the right monitor and no over lapping monitors

maybe you should update driver and not have anti aliasing on

also the difference betwen your setup and mine is that i have a single card thats a bit better than yours 2

You are comparing dual boxing to triple boxing?

I would also expect a framerate hit in that instance. Try lowering your settings while triple boxing.

very weird... I run nvidia GTX 260 (which runs a 24 and a 22, both sammy's) and intel i7 920 stock clock and usually never get over 25% utilization with 3 clients. And my average FPS is over 90, average memory can get up to 1gig each client depending on what you are doing, but normally see 500mb per on initial start up.

FPS should be significantly reduced in CQ (if you have it enabled) cause of the rendering that is taking place especially with 3 clients running...

6 clients docked without CQ enabled I get about 5-10fps less than in space.

I have two machines next to each other both dual boxing. They both are running 30" screens. The machine with the Nvidia cards always runs about 30% faster. It really feels like eve prefers Nvidia over ati.

Change the interval

Interval One caps you at 30 FPS or something like that

If you run 2 clients on same monitor (same gfx card), both get 50% of the "available framerate". You got about 40fps before and about 20 after. Sounds normal to me.

Lowering gfx settings of the clients which share gfx card should help...

Sadly CCP's "special relation" with Nvidia means they feel they do not have to have comparable performance for ATI cards.
