They did bring Mealstroms...

But not a single one was destroyed according to EVE-kill. But that's not possible right?! :)

Thats because the FC and fleet warped in at range and kept aligned. The moment they got yellow boxed by the titans the victim would warp off. The lack of PL bubbles ment they could do this, in a normal fight PL would have had them bubbled and the titans could blap them with ease. The fleet discipline was most impressive

I just told you why they didn't commit.

If your "well-thought-out" plan is so good, why don't you create a business plan and submit it to your investors?

I'm sure they'll be pleased as punch to give you some money to start operations ASAP.

They didn't commit because they didn't want to lose their own supers, it's fair enough. I can totally understand that. That scenario happens often with other events and other circumstances. But this whole event proved that a supercap blob can be contained and outmaneuvered if you use smarts and you adapt to it.

If -A- and friends had brought Maelstroms and Drakes, what they did wouldn't have been possible.

Are you seriously going on about your business plan for investors etc? Go play world of warcraft, lots of investors for that crap. I play EVE online because it's a niche game that appeals to what I enjoy in terms of gameplay. And funnily enough, it's financially viable :)

I'm sorry about harping on the business comment that you made. It's wrong of me to take shots at someone who is "disadvantaged".
A game that appeals to the masses is a well designed game. THAT is what makes it financially viable. Nothing about multi-boxers with old accounts in that equation.

I'M SORRY! IT'S JUST TOO DAMNED FUNNY!

On to the really funny stuff.

So you are suggesting that the titan fleet was....contained? So......you continued to blap them until they were all gone. Right? Why would -A- leave first if they were.....winning?
Please post more because I've only been playing this game since 2006 and I guess these complicated game mechanics have escaped me.

AAA could not commit supers for two very good reasons.

1. Their titan fleet is outnumbered and had no idea if this was a trap set so they would get counter dropped by even more supers and killed.

2. If they commited and managed to kill all of the PL fleet their losses would have been horrible. They would have won, but it would have crippled their own titan fleet which would make their space even more vulnerable.

PL titans were not helpless, if they were they would have died. AAA did a fantastic job but in the end, if they had not pulled off they would have eventually been killed to a man by the titan which do track tengu. The argument about EHP is also rather laughable given that a titans EHP even when fit for tracking is still greater than many fleets.

1. This is fair enough. We all know how sneaky PL are.
2. Yes. It's a tradeoff. Being able to kill a 2 trillion isk supercap fleet should at least incur you some losses. EVE isn't risk free.

Titans didn't track any tengus except for the ones that came sufficiently close (dragged by the anchored bubble). PL titans were not able to switch to pure damage fits because if one of them got separated by a big bounce, they would have lost it. Titans cannot track tengus unless the tengus decide to fit an MWD or if they do something really stupid.

The EHP argument is pretty solid. Losing 15 million EHP is pretty damn significant if you get separated from your fleet. Titans bounce all the time when being warped together.

titans can track afterburning logistics ships because when fighting a titan blob you always have zero transversal to someone

I just litterally facepalmed at your post.

-A- left because they didn't want to risk their supercarriers as was beautifully pointed out by Baltec1, so there was no reason to continue. Plus, I'm guessing they were running out of missiles.

Is that why there are so many dead scimis in this battlereport?

you mean this battle where two idiot supercarriers were ganked and then PL dropped in the titanblob to force the subcaps out, who then left rather than get blapped by the titans?

you idiot

don distort the truth men, stop been a kid in here.

Real problem is you want everyone playing YOUR rules, and you want people forced thru nerfings.

Instead, use YOUR brain and fly WHATEVER suits the situation, sometimes that can be rifters, others, drakes, and others, scaps, witch you dont use because you want to play the victim here.

"buaaaa my poor little drakie got blaped, it's unfairrrrrrr"

cry me a river will ya ?

CCP should come up with something that allow's smaller entity's (or player groups) do serious damage to scaps in general, thru something like a super torpedo or something like that.

keeping nerfing ships at goons wimp it's not good.

After CCP nerfs titans, goons will keep crying, because there's always something else.

If you review CCP forum history, you will that all unfair nerfs where done based solely by goon threadnaugts, and frankly, with so much inside intel goons get, no wonder they know where to hit ccp at.

So the goons made the drone nerf, nano nerf, titan AOE nerf and ECM nerfs happen?

Or perhaps CCP nerfed them because they were in fact game breaking.
