Bioware; Angry Gamers Call Her a "Cancer"

Don't be muddying the waters, now. Not everyone who's genuinely critical of Hepler participates in nor endorses any form of harassment. There are plenty of trolls (from 4chan, for example) willing to harass anyone for any reason, simply because the person is an easy target and because they find it amusing. There are plenty of BioWare fans (and ex-fans) who aren't homophobic, don't feel threatened by romance scenes, don't hate women, and don't harass people on the Internet for the lulz — we just don't want BioWare RPGs to turn into interactive movies with fanfic-quality writing.

Because of her Internet fame, Jennifer Hepler is symbolic of BioWare's "new direction." Regardless of how much or how little blame she actually shoulders, she is a BioWare employee, she does have a certain writing style (love it or hate it), she publicly advocates storytelling over gameplay, et cetera.

For my part, I don't complain, I don't harass, and I don't play BioWare games anymore. That's the whole of it. I do occasionally participate in preexisting conversations such as this one, though.

I myself have not partaken in the campaign at all. I just made this thread and think she and Bioware comes across as both unprofessional and stupid.

As for her impact, Mass Effect 3 comes now with a story mode? (WTF Does that mean.)

In any case, these things do take place all the time and I am 100% sure that all the people in this thread that suffers from "White Knight Syndrome" are guilty of the same behavior when it comes to things not Bioware (just check their post history.)

She clearly did ask for it, the event did not take place 6 years ago now?Lol And I think she has no business being in this businessCool

Not at all but people do strange things when put under pressure. It is very hard to imagine what she is going through and I doubt anyone who hasn't gone through something like this can relate let alone speculate how they would react under similar circumstances no mater how much they fool themselves into thinking they could remain in control.

It is always a shame when people sink down to this level over such inconsequential and sad things. What is more sad is when people loose sight of things like this making statements like she clearly asked for it.

Hating someone on the internet and having angry opinions is one thing but when you harass and cyber stalk them their actions are criminal and should never be applauded.
