Hi All,

Just wondered really, do you guys do missions for one faction at a time or do your work for multiple?

I been doing missions for emperor for a while now and have a standing over 5.0 so I could in theory do 4's for them. Problem is, no Battleship so i'd get my ass handed to me, so should I move to another faction while I earning enough isk for a BS or just stick with emperor?

My logic was if i'm grinding for emperor while i'm already at a high enough standing to run 4's could I be more efficient in the long term by working on standings with more than 1?

Cheers,

Hello Newz Bie,

There are some reasons other than access to missions which might compel you to stay with your Emporer faction. The main reason for me was to obtain better mineral refining facilities. Once you get to a standing of, i think, 7.0, a station of the faction you have a high standing with will not keep any of the minerals you refine. Another reason might be Jump Clones. You need a high standing, 8.0 i think, to install a jump clone.

If you are mostly interested in missions then there is nothing to stop you starting over with another corporation!

Have fun

Edit. 6.67 Standing for Corporation to take zero minerals
Edit. 8.0 standing conformed for Jump Clone installation, (handy to make a cheap clone for less risk in PvP).

If you are just looking for ISK/h the only reason to go for another factions is that the dmg types you deal fit better to (most) of the missions they give you.

You may want to look for a corp that got more then one lvl4 agent in a 0.5 system. Being able to skip missions more often then once per 4h can be quite nice.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

When i did missions I would change agents when my standings with that corporation got to 8.0 or higher. This would allow me more places to put jump clones. I also did missions for other factions as long as they were friendly with eachother so I wouldnt damage the standings I already had.

Another option is to do a round or two of regular missions (16 + storyline) for each of the 4 major Factions (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar) when needed to maintain good Faction standings for safe travel through Empire space. If doing that it's a good idea to decline Anti-Empire encounter missions.

The Faction standing needs to be above -5.00 for safe travel or the NPC Faction Navy will attack upon entering their space. Training up Diplomacy skill will temporally fix bad Faction standing.
