A request from the deaf community. Please hear us out CCP!

Dear CCP,

We are deaf, we cant understand your trailers, videos, and vlog. Because there is no English subtitles for those videos. I've repeatedly asked this via forums and petitioning countless time across multiple accounts and characters, but never once did it make any difference.

I made a post regarding this back in Nov 2011 and got supports from various pilots.

To my surprise a random dude (Hiram Alexander) I've never met before decided to subtitled that vlog for me and the deaf community.

But he shouldn't have to do your work. If he was able to do it, why cant you?

This wont only benefit the deaf community but also those who don't want to or cant for whatever reason use sound. It might even benefit those who cant understand the accents of the person in the video.

CCP, I am not asking you to subtitle all videos out there but, CCP own trailer, video, and vlog.

Please consider doing this.

I'm not deaf myself nor do i need subtitles, but I think CCP should do this.

There are people who cant hear and CCP should make important information aviable to them as well.

Wholeheartedly supported. It isn't a hard thing to do, either.

It's actually a bit sad you even have to make a request for such a thing in this modern age.

Probably because no one puts the needs of a minority in the forefront, unless of course they happen to belong to that minority. I am sure it's not through malice. But now since you've brought it up let's see how CCP reacts to this valid point.

On the other hand look on the bright side - the game itself is perfectly playable without sound. In fact I have no hearing impediment and I haven't had the sound turned on for years - so you're not missing much :)

Now I've got that out of my system, I fully support this idea.

A little thing like this can go a long way not only to makea better gaming experience for deaf players, but it would also generate a fair bit of goodwill among the playerbase and wider gaming industry.

CCP, subtitle it! (I'm sure there will be a few native english speaker that would use them too since our Nordic accent isn't always the best haha)

I completely agree, open the game up to more people with disabilities CCP (as long as the disability isn't "I used to play wow" or "I'm stupid, why I no mine in peace"

EVE has no end of accessibility issues, but this requires minimal extra effort on CCP's part. I fully support this.

I have a friend who is hearing impaired that had this same complaint about EvE's video's. He always likes watching them but rarely has any idea that there is something else going on in the video.

Any chance of getting a CSM member to chime in some support and perhaps take this up at Fanfest or at least recommend it to CCP?
