Damaged ship stuck in hangar - will not undock. Suggestions?

I have a Hurricane stuck in a hangar after taking a beating in a lvl 4 Vengence mission (yeah, don't take a Hurricane, I know)
When I go to undock it fails and returns a message that I do not have the skills to pilot the ship given it's condition.

I searched the forums and tried a few things....put more Armor Plates in the Lows and then put Reinforced Bulkheads in the Lows. Swapping these mods in/out didn't work.

Any suggestions to resolve this problem would be appreciated.

Right click on your ship -> get repair quote -> pay The Man -> undock

Malcanis,
I forgot to mention the station does NOT have a repair service.
Lesson Learned: Know what services are in a station before you dock. Got that now.

That plate you took off to fit the repper/cap module. Put it back.

Interesting question.

How the heck did you fly it to the station if its in negative hull? Did you happen to lose any implants / skills that increased hull points? If so try to get them back.

Else you may have to get a carrier or freightor / orca pilot to lend a hand moving it to a repair station.

I think I got off one last overheating armor rep as the barrage came in. When I jumped I just stared at the thin white line in the armor meter and I didn't look at the hull status.
I did not/have not lost any implants or skills and I was not fleeted for any bonuses (I was solo).

I will try to fit that damaged plate back onto the ship and then add assorted new plates and bulkheads hoping that jimmies it loose.
Thanks

You can't undock with 0 armor. Fit a plate.

Fit reinforced bulkheads... and a lot of them. Once your ship has more than 20% structure you can undock. If doing this idea doesn't work... well... hate to say it, but you're out of a ship. See if you can reprocess it and sell the minerals.

Is that damaged plate by any chance 100% damaged? If so, get rid of it, it does not help you with the undock.

Petition is weak....put plates on until you can crawl out.

I heard that a courier contract to a station with repair facilities will work.... no personal experience though.

The solutions above might work, but it would probably be best to file a petition.

As far as I know this is intended game functionality.

You can get a friend with an Orca to dock in station with you and put it in his ship hangar and move it to another station with a repair station. Or courier contract it with collateral to someone who can move it with a Freighter to another station.

Alternately, Mechanic V does wonders, but might take a while. :)

Put on as much structure HP as you can get on there - with reinforced bulkheads is probably the only other viable solution.

I put the damaged plate back on the ship and fitted Reinforced Bulkheads and new Armor Plates in assorted combinations.
Still no joy.

I have Mechanic V and Hull Upgrade V....doesn't seem to matter.

I have positive hp in all categories of armor, shield, hull. I still cannot undock.

Thank you for the ideas and suggestion. I will file a petition.

Having positive HP in hull is not always enough, you need around 25-30% to be able to undock ship, I think... other than that, similiar stuff only happened when ship actually got destroyed and somehow bugged out.

This is a pain in the butt!

Added 5 x 1600mm tungsten to my banged up Kronos, still can't leave.

Hilarious game mechanic CCP, as if a giant space station, where all its visitors use ships would have no repair facilities? Possibly varying levels of quality of repair, but no repair? BS.

Tried again with 7 x Reinforced Bulkhead II.......Nope.

According to the latest patch notes, undocking in that situation will be possible.

In some cases it was impossible to undock in heavily damaged ships if only skills kept the ship alive. This will no longer occur.

A fellow CAS member had this happen a couple weeks ago. Nothing would let him leave dock.
I offered my Orca's services and we solved the problem.

Obviously won't work with anything larger than 400,000m3 but your Hurricane will fit easily.

No sig here.
