Can flipping newbies on trial, harassing new players, anything that impacts new folks (Under a couple weeks) who are just trying to get started and figure out what they think of Eve. All they're doing is being mean for no reason whatsoever. I don't think the entire organization should be banned, however selective members perhaps. I really enjoy watching the drama they cause, but frequently they cross the line to attack the lifeblood of Eve. And then they brag about it. Not cool.

Eve is a pretty accurate simulation of what happens in a world free of regulation and restrictions on capitalism.

Opportunism and violence are disgusting and evil in the real world, but in a spaceship game the fun comes from conflict.

Eve is propelled by violence, both directly and indirectly. Anything that increases that violence also increases the fun.

You can keep crying if you want, though. You're just having less fun than I am. Cool

PS: New goon tactics seem to involve single catalyst per mackinaw. Blackbird + Gallente ECM + sensor boosting.... Actually works until they get into single-volley-kill Tier3's or battleships provided your ecm cover is actually paying attention.

You're not gonna volley the blackbird, and if he's paying attention like he's supposed to be, you're only gonna get one volley off unless fail jams etc.

Goons and TEST are actually one of the more noob friendly alliances in Eve. They bring ton's of new players into the game, and provide them with Skillbooks, Rifters, and ISK, then give them access to one of the best damn Wiki I've ever seen for new players. So far from harrasing them, they actually bring them in and make them feel useful.

For example, the corp I am in requires at least 20 million SP, a decent combat record, and although not "elitePVP" (Thankfully) they have high standards, and you are expected to know what you are doing. Goons are the exact opposite of that, so claiming that they are anti-new player is ignorant. I was a member of TEST for a short while, and although it wasn't my cup of tea, I do have respect for the way they bring new players in and treat them with respect.

I've yet to see any evidence of why they should be banned, despite you personal opinions.

The rules of EvE make "goon-types" an inevitable precipitate of the mix. They are a force of EvE nature. There's no point in crying about it. If it wasn't under the goon banner they would simply be called something else.
