By the way, in that first post of mine that you linked, how on earth would you classify what I said as unhelpful? Isn't it true that player ganking poses a more significant risk than predictable red crosses?

Bumble dont you love stupid people... NEWB he is trying to do you a favor. Pirates who live in low sec mostly survive on Lvl five missions. You will NOT find an unpopulated system and if you do you wont get more then 1 or 2 missions done b4 they catch you. Two, as was already said, you wont be able to finish your missions because they will probe you down and camp the mission so you will have to fail it and loose your standings. So, if you are so elite Pro Pvp guy go join a pirate corp that controls a lvl five mission hub.... Otherwise please feel free to post here in a day or two when you loose your nighthawk so we can troll you...

PS Nighthawk will need t2 rigs to tank missions, and the only ones you will Be able to tank solo will be the gallente missions which will point and damp you. So you will most likely not be able to get away the first time someone takes an interest in you ..

Yes, but that can be avoided quite easily without gimping your fit with LSE's.

I guess you were *trying* to be helpful, just doing a bad job at it.

Oh crap, I don't know where to start with this gem Lol

Again, have you ever been to lowsec? Or are you one of "those people" who assumes that every system is camped to hell by 20 people in faction battleships just because "it said so on the forum?"

If so, then you're absolutely correct, lowsec is impossible to enter and everyone will probe you and gank you and you don't stand a chance and you should just never undock ever again because EVE is too dangerous. Also biomass yourself in case CCP ever introduces ViS (violence in stations) because you know they will just to get at scared pansies like yourself.

As for the second part:

THERE ARE WARP SCRAMBLING RATS IN MISSIONS!?!? NEWS AT 11.
Hmm, I wonder if there's some sort of device which excels at dealing with rats such as these! I dunno, Gary. There's just no forseeable way around this dilemna, and I most certainly haven't been using them to run L4's for months. Roll

As for the third part:

You make Bumble look intelligent. I mean, really, my opinion of him just increased a little. Ugh

So I recently gained enough standings with my mission running corp to be able to run L5's. And since I'm not too far away from a Nighthawk in training (all I need is Cal Cruiser 5) I was wondering if it would be a good idea to train it up and use it for that purpose.

Of course, NH's aren't the most efficient isk grinding machines, especially when passive tanked for L5's, so I'm curious as to whether or not I'd actually make more isk/hr doing this than I would just running L4's in my Maelstrom. L5's seem to be horribly documented in terms of their profits, so I have no idea.

Anyway; is it worth it?

As someone who runs lots of L5, I can tell you that it is "worth it"

You can check out some of my older post for info on L5s but here is the quick summary

1) Rewards @ max social skills. ~9mil + 80-100K LP per mission

2) Decline every mission that is not blitzable . . .
Some missions are blitzable (kill a couple ship or a single structure) others are not.
Obviously its a lot more profitable if you can finish a mission in 5 minutes instead of 60-120.
Also it gives a lot less time for pirates to notice you are in system and bother to scan you down.

3) Fly cheap . . .
You don't need an expensive ship to run L5s, especially if you have friends/alts.
For example
1x Punisher (10 Mil fitted) - fit for max passive tank (4 x faction specif resists, 3x anti-xx rig)
1 Exequror (5 million fitted) - 4 medium remote armor reps, 4 cap recharger I, 3 capacitor power relay I
2x Catalyst (13 million fitted) - 8 light blaster II, 1x MWD, 3x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
This will clear the blitzable missions in an average of about 10 minutes.

The most you can lose to a pirate gank is about 40 million . . . but no pirates will bother scanning you down once they see what ships you are flying

There are lots of very cheap fits that can run L5s very quickly for 2-4 ships. Obviously the one above is as cheap as they come. Upgrading to Assault ship as your tank will improve your tanking ability (not that you needed it), and upgrading the cats to BCs will about double your DPS.

4) know your local area, and be smart . . .
Know the local pirates . . . there will be some that can scan you down in under a minute. Know who they are, add them to your contacts and make friends or avoid the system they are in.
Gate camps are your biggest threat, but they are rare.
I run a circuit of a handful of agents spread out over a 20 jump loop. I see a gate camp in a low-sec <-> low sec gate about once every other week.
If its a bad gang, you can outmaneuver them no problem
If its a good gang, fit warp-core stabilizers in your lows when you change systems (warp core stabilizers bring in so much pirate tears)
If its a well organized nullsec gang with remote sensor boosted interdiction cruisers, that drop carriers when you jump . . . well all you can do is laugh in local as your pod warps away

Here are the lines that you should have read.
Doesn't everyone have at least one alt?

I'd recommend against going solo. The time it'd take to complete a nonblitzable L5 in a solo passive fit NH would kill the isk/hour.

Dual box them, bring a DPS boat of your choice. Salvage all anti-faction missions, don't waste your time salvaging pirate missions except the Mordus Headhunters (lots of loot and a decent shot at a 50-100m implant).

I didn't make a personal attack, I made a factual statement. A personal attack would have been saying "bumblefck is a d-bag because he makes useless posts," whereas I just said that that you don't make useful posts.

You and I both know that it's true.
