A few years ago, you used to be able to destroy a POS, unanchor any labs that were at the tower, bring them to a station, and repackage them. Doing so would drop any blueprints (copies or originals) that were in the lab.

Is this still the case? I've heard that blueprint drops work the same way as all other drops now--by shooting them in space and keeping your fingers crossed for a good drop. I don't trust the person I heard this from, so I did some research of patch notes for the last few years. Nothing jumped out at me.

So, is it true that you can no longer get blueprints out of labs taken by force by repackaging them? Please let me know if you have recent first-hand experience.

you can just repackage to get the same effect - that way you don't lose anything if there was nothing within.
