cool, I wonder where this tech will be in 2025? the reason I ask is because for a school project we were supposed to think of a product that would be available in 2025, and what I came up with was a more advanced version of this.

The head tilt and voice stuff only works because he has setup. Actually using it on the fly would need a lot more interface and ergonomic work. Maybe combine it with that read-your-thoughts game controller headset that pops up every now and then and you'll have something.

There will be tiny speaker implants, connected directly to the inner ear bones. Bypassing your fragile ear drums. So you can turn your mp3s up to 11 and not go deaf. Insane maybe, but not deaf. Smile

They still need a lot of work, but the basic GPS and phone function would be great for kayakers or cyclists. I would have loved something like that when I was heavily into mountain biking.

Or jsut connect it directly to the nerves, bypassing the ear entierly. Same for the optical nerves. Might be a bit later then 2025, but one can hope.

And of course there was the Bone Fone. It was shaped like a horseshoe, and went around your neck and lay across your collar bones. Instead of using speakers, it sent minute vibrations through your skeleton. You wouldn't feel anything, but you would hear the music in your ears. (Putting a your collar bone or skull will do the same thing). The music was crystal clear, too. Meanwhile, since there were no earphones or headphones blocking your ears, you could still hear all the sounds around you as normal. A pretty trippy sensation.
