Posting in the hope for a candidacy view on the following: Bounty Hunting

Reiterating request.

He's waiting until he sees Mittens address it directly so he can take the exact opposite stance. Be patient!

Have to be very patient then, as Mittens was simply dissmissive of my enquiries.

That's because Bounty Hunting is a feature that maybe a couple hundred EVE players will take part in, if any. It would require a rework of several core game systems (crimewatch, bounties, locators, standings, GCC) to implement and is not a 'sucking chest wound'.

Everyone 'gets' that you're hot on doing bounties, probably fresh off the SWtoR BH campaign and incredibly disappointed that it didn't live up to your Boba Fett fantasies, but the truth is that there isn't a huge pressing demand for that feature in EVE right now while there are dozens upon dozens of other existing features that touch thousands of players daily that could use the developer attention.

iyo, seems quite the number of candidates who did have the curtesy and foresight to respond.

otherwise...

The thing is the bounty hunty system is bound to be abused of, how many times don't u see an alt in a noobship reclaiming your bounty?

The bounty system should be tied to ship-losses, and the hullprice substracted from the bounty to pay whoever killed the outlaw.

Many guys ask their corp mate to put a price on their head to gain some street creed. This is a perfect example on how flawed the concept of bounty hunting is right now.

Unless there is a skill-point loss once podded, there is no real treat on getting a bounty on you. That would be a step forward into turning bounty hunting into a decent career.

Courthouse is right in many ways regarding the rework needed to locate and provide "content" to bounty hunters, also how do you claim a bouty when while on the run the outlaw will simply log or disappear into null-sec/w-sec?

ty, comments added to linked thread above.

suggest you read Malcanis' thread.

The skill point removal is a novel idea, not heard that one yet.

Also if a criminal runs then principally you are detering further action. The longevity of bounties I guess addresses the ultimate revenge in relating to culpability for actions. And we can't simply stop another pilot from using space in a spaceships game can we?

I helped kill riverini and wanted to scoop his corpse. We have to call GSOL and get a Rorq down to scoop him and then organise a dread fleet to hollow out a moon to store it's bountiful supply for blubber

I would offer Riverini an olive branch on behalf of Goonwaffe but I'm afraid he'd eat the thing whole.

Oh dear, is Riverini Morbidly Obese? That can't be good for his health,

I can't help but notice you offer a good mandate with solid ideas about what you want to tackle but no solutions.

It's good that you're focusing on the big problems.

I would like to know your specific views on making industry fun, also with regard to expanding the sandbox.

Double the space doesn't necessarily mean double the hardware for CCP. Apart from the obvious building of new systems, planets, balance of sec, belts etc.. and artwork - hardware requirements would be minimal.

While fighting is great, a space game should also be an adventure for the lone player or small group. There's no longer any kind of wlderness to get lost in "out there". Space is all taken, any kind of ninja towering is easily and quickly dealt with - even if only for mining in a system noone wants.

It has been a long long time since the drone regions and black rise etc, were added to the game.
Can we get more space?

Specific thoughts on these mechanics would be great.

If you wish to have a read I've asked some of the same questions of several candidates:
Seleene
Two Step

But I'd like to hear your thoughts on some of this as well as the links in my sig below which contain many different ideas from many industrialists and might help along the way.

Read this and be advised that Riverini is quite happy to waste billions in investors money to try and throw mud at his competition and gain a political edge.

I'm going to try and make comment here to be fair and unbiased.

Fact is, CSM candidates DO need to give their ideas of solutions BEFORE they get voted in. Noone wants to hear "I should be elected cause I'm really good".

Two Step has done it with many issues including corp bookmarks and other fine products and/or solutions.

Upon saying that however it's an easy trap to fall into regarding CSM candidates, thinking they either don't care to comment on issues or are unwilling to put forth their ideas to avoid nit-picking by the goon squad.

I myself have been subject to the goons same bullshit behavior recently and I'd really suggest anyone who doesn't care for the metagaming part of eve these days to direct your attention to videos like this one. Made by goons leadership mostly depicting their ego's and idea of eve's to-ing and fro-ing of online debate, war and simply skewing peoples' perceptions.

As it is, EvE has had many recent nerfs nerfs to bridges and supercaps to stop the projection of power of a few alliances to allow better gameplay in low-sec and across new-eden. So that the upper hand doesn't become the controlling hand.

One wonders when CCP will get around to changing this philsophy to include the metagaming and CSM.

I'm not here saying vote for Riverini, but when it comes to a page of his thread where at least 3-4 goons have commented trying to persuade you NOT to vote for him. I will say this...

You have to consider the source.

Did Riv or did he not ignore intel and trick most market traders into buying up stupid amounts of Caldari Ice for his own agenda ?

Yes he did and that is fact.

Did you or did you not start a campain of attacking caldari ice miners. Then under the "most benevolent" goons eye, start a fund for those few who "convinced you" of their sincerity for payouts under some kind of SRP which you may or may not really have?

Will this or will this not effect ice prices ?

Sounds like some bullshit double-talk to me and the fact is, I dont even LIKE riverini.

Consider the source.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.
