Best Kin/Therm or Therm/Kin mission hubs?

Been doing level 4s in my Ishtar recently, for Federation Customs. But I'm finding that I am getting tons of non Serpentis/Guristas missions, it seems to be about 3 non-Serp/Gurista to one Serp/Gurista mission. Many of them are Amarr, and with EM resist on the Ishtars shields being a fantastic base of 0% I don't even attempt that, as even swapping out all available passive hardeners to EM it's still going to take too much damage to passive tank. At this rate I'll bottom out my standings from turning them down before I even manage to break even on the ship, ISK wise.

Is there any better hub/faction for L4s out there that is likely to get me more good Kin/Therm missions?

You should be able to armor tank the Ishtar to do the amarr missions just dandy if that's what you want (50% base EM resist, and thermal is not an issue)

Having said that - while working for duvolle I've very seldom run into faction missions.

Do missions for Caldari, them are almost always against Guristas. (If you skip those against other factions)

This.

Auvergne and Aunia are quieter even though only 1/2 hops from Dixie

Bullshit. Consider Auvergne the same as Dodixie, at least every system that connects with Dodixie turns it into a hub of scum and villiany for wannabe "rouge" badass lone wolves that think soloing misfit PVE ships they won't gank but the PVE pilots are still to stupid to not fire is "lol challenge but the killmails are so worth the chubby." Aunia, is maybe 30% but you will always have a high chance to get prober ships in your space. At least with the OP flying an Ishtar it will happen less likely, to many players fall back to the standard human reasoning : Battleship are so much easier to find, therefore I will always look for them because scanning for a cruiser is just a pain in the ass (kind of how EVERYONE hangs out in highsec....its just so much easier to be surrounded by CONCORD, even if you smack your chest and grunt how hard core you are that you soloed a BS in a rifter but you wouldn't firre on that BS until it fired on you after you looted a wreck...******* cowardly hyprocrites we all are cause CONCORD is all around us!).

I'm not too concerned about people entering my missions and stealing loot/salvage, as I don't even loot/salvage myself unless I get a faction spawn in WC or something. As for going armor to run other missions, yeah it's doable but it isn't as easy to be half-afk as with a full passive shield tank and I play at work where I may have to AFK at any time unexpectedly. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll probably take a look at them though I may have to grind some standings to use them.

They're kind of on the high end of the security spectrum but they do work. The market is nice if you dabble on the side.

And yeah, you'll get scanned down on occasion. Usually on Blockade or Buzz Kill. Sometimes they get cocky and miss a new wave. Other times they just get bored. It's really no big deal. The low LP payouts are frankly more of an issue.

As a long term goal, you may want to train up on another ship to deal with the missions that you're having a hard time with in your present ship. This has a few immediate advantages:

1) You don't have to turn down missions
2) You don't have to refit your ship with different ammo/hardeners, you can just switch to your other ship
3) You can use one agent and stay at one station

Right now I can fly a good Paladin for missions against Sansha/Blood Raiders, and I'm almost done fine tuning my Tengu skills to deal with missions that take a missile boat to easily complete. I remember having a hard time in my Paladin against some factions (can't remember which ones, Angel and Guristas?) so I embarked on a long term goal to fly a mad skillz Tengu. Will switch back and forth depending on what the agent throws at me.

Scheenins for lvl4 Roden Combat agent, quite nice LP store, quiet 0.5 system, no adjoining lowsec

Ignabeneer for 2 lvl4 FIO agents, adjacent to lowsec but with high enough faction standings can decline missions with impunity

Arraron for lvl4 Astral Mining combat agent, adjacent low sec but infrequently get missions there

Perfection is a dish best served like wasabi .

You're obviously mad, but I would be too if I thought "rogue" was spelled "rouge".
