We Salute Captain Malemoris

All who honor life and the dignity of life honor the pilot Malemoris for his brave efforts to locate and rescue 12,000 slaves that had reported as jettisoned into space in the Rancer system. In the end, he lost his ship and pod in what was probably a sadistic trap.

It began with the sadistic, self-inflated actions of one Niccolo Machiavilli when he posted the following on the Summit com channel: I have successfully hidden a canister containing 12,000 Matari slaves somewhere out in the rancer system. I do love hide and seek. Shame on the pathetic Narcicist Niccolo.

Immediately, Captain Malemoris began a search of the system for the the slaves. I joined him shortly after in a blockade runner. I saw the foul outlaw that attacked him. I was cloaked and unarmed so was unable to assist. I was able to recover Captain Malemoris's body and some his property to be returned to him.

I and others like me, honor the efforts of Captain Malemoris. Even though we determined that the Narcissistic Niccolo couldn't have fit 12,000 slaves in a single jet can, the impulse to immediately seek to help people in danger is a lost impulse in the cynical world of capsuleer pilots.

If nothing else, we salute Malemoris for not giving in to cynicism and for acting immediately and unselfishly. You have set a good example of what is right and good in humanity, Captain Malemoris!

I salute you, sir!

Were you able to confirm if in fact any Slaves were in fact in danger? Regardless of our differences I would ask that you let PIE know of this so that we may keep an eye out for such destructive individuals as well. Likewise I shall endeavour to alert you of such behaviours where individuals are known.

Regards

I also witnessed the unfolding of this event over the Summit. Both Captains Malemoris and Todako acted nobly and unselfishly, giving their time even of the chances were slim.

I too, salute you.

Liberating slaves wherever, whenever, and however I can.

You were scammed (successfully) by someone claiming something that couldn't actually be done.

Goodness, do keep it up.

Those who let a heart of compassion lead them will get scammed, will sometimes act naively, will sometimes get taken advantage of. Those who let a heart of compassion and mercy motivate them will never have the boast that they were never duped. You are right. Those whose hearts lead their actions may make mistakes in judgement from time to time. They won't be the one with the upper hand at the end of the day. Those who lead with their hearts will get them broken, will be the object of sarcasm, will be laughed at. Those who lead with a heart of compassion will feel compassion, experience compassion, and receive compassion from those they try to help.

To ere on the side of compassion in this case was honorable and admirable. Graelyn, don't become so wise that the hug of a child or the cry of widow ceases to melt your heart or even motivate you to do something stupid now and then. Don't...lose your humanity.

The Disciples of Ston bid you peace
