It's a good thing that CCP does not care what you think, just because you got a bad case of epeen envy.

You woudn't happen to have one of those said ships would you?

Nope, but just like you, I'd love to have one.

The difference here is that I don't think that just because I can't have one, no one else should either.

Dude GFYS. CCP admitted the majority shouldn't be there now they have to do something about it.

Actually, no they didn't. Read that post again. Blink

They explained how it happens, that eventually they will tweak that mechanic so that it doesn't continue to happen, and any cap ship owner inconvenienced by this can petition to get it moved if they wish.

In no way does it infer that they feel the need to remove those ships, which is what you would like people to believe.

Try again. Blink

This is pretty much the cause for almost all cases where a capital ship ends up in high sec space. This is a very old mechanic, predating capital ships, that had some unintended consequences. This hole will be closed at some point in time. Up until then, please file a petition if your capital ship (or someone else's) ends up in high sec that way and a GM will correct the issue.

Correct the issue means to rectify i.e. make right or fix if you like the issue.

This means that certain ships should not be there and will be removed if a GM is notified.

I however think this is bullshit and that the GM's should do this on a grand scale and show some guts for a change. "issue" gone.

Failquote fails.
As noted in your ridiculous other thread, this is a different matter.

I want a Thanatos in high sec too. Cry

So I can hold an event where players can kill me in it! Twisted

Still no way I plan on unsubbing for six months to get that trick to work though.

Just allow sub-supercaps in highsec :D

If it takes a petition to move the ship out of highsec, then who is going to be the snitch who files it?

All this hurf and blurf over what? Oohh a 3D representation of a space ship construct that was really huge just flew by! OMG my game is ruined! Waaaah!

This reminds me of those housing "authorities" where people rat each other out because they put the wrong color curtains up or their dog is too big.

Some of you people deserve to be stuffed in a sack and beaten with little baseball bats just for caring.

No jealousy here, since i have my fleet of capitals in high-sec already. And while yes it's nice for new people to see them, imo it's all about the history and the rarity of said items and their history of days past.

GMs reimbursing them left and right (yeah I know that's not really the case) makes them less "historic" imo and it they don't really have any history, just a GM not paying attention when reimbursing a ship.

True ships are imo far more historic since they are the from the old days. New pilots can get the whole history of it as well, how at a point in time things could be built there, and even put a RP on it saying like concord changed the restrictions etc.

There's absolutely no reason why you should have a monopoly on capitals in highsec. You come off as jealous.

I care about the history of this game; it helps build a sense of continuity, growth and gives this community their roots. And you are right, some players are worth more than others.

For example, your reputation is pretty much ******. I don't see a list of the services you provide or the websites you host for this community. In fact, I see nothing from you except a bit of jealous, child-like whining.

Reputation??? Oh so this is a pop contets... I guess that's why you got themk perky pixels in your trenstestickle portrait then to harvest more fame from pimpleboys.

I was unavare of the fact that I had to provide a service to be allowed access to all the features in the game I pay for... I really had no idea.

If somone has so little to do that they spend their free time providing, that is their case. Do not let this... this self-sacrifice crap be a stature of how the ingame elements are distributed.

Then you are just seriously messed up.

You don't.

1. Locate legitimate high-sec cap owner.

2. Work out an amicable trade arrangement with player in #1

3. Wave around your new epeen (profit!)

You asked if certain players are worth more than others. I just told you why some are worth more than others. That's just a reality of life. In my job, I am more valuable to the company than other employees who spend less time upskilling, researching and developing their professional skills. Simple fact.

You are less valuable than some of those Capital pilots because you contribute nothing beyond your $15. They bring in more advertising, reputation and community than you can ever hope to do. That makes them valuable and means that some, non-impacting game decisions can be allowed to swing in their favour.

It's called a sensible decision.

As to the carrier; it is a historical artefact that is allowed to remain there with a severe set of restrictions. It does not impact game-play.

Now stop being a petulant child.

He's hardly jealous, there were actually many people who had high sec capitals. Biased? Probably.

The thing is that the rules are the rules - plain and simple. Chribba (and many others) get to keep their capitals in high sec because they were historic (and they were built there when they were allowed). The decision to leave these capitals in high sec was a public, official policy.

Capitals which are "accidentally" moved to high sec are moved back to low sec for two main reasons:
1) CCP wants to avoid potential public relations disasters like the T20 incident.
2) CCP has already moved other high sec capitals back to low sec after a GM accidentally moved them to high sec. It is in CCP's best interests to apply the rules consistently.

Why does Chribba get to keep his capitals in high sec? Because everyone else got to keep their capitals in high sec. As Chribba mentioned, a GM DID in fact move his veldnaught to low sec. It was moved back because they did not do the same thing to all of the other high sec capitals which had been built there.

i would actually consider doing the unsub trick so i could get my niddy to high-sec as a mining carrier Oops
could be fun, but unsubbing for 6 months? What? doubt i would be capable of doing that.

oh well OT:
i don't really see anything wrong with them being in hi-sec, but they should not use them for the intentional purpose (combat, logistics)
