Why did CCP change the sunglasses to be more opaque? I like the darker versions so as to hide my Jin Mei eyes :)

Can't we have both darker and opaque versions? Now, I can't change my look without having to resort to opaque glasses :(

I do not know what you're talking about. The darker they are, the more opaque they are. That is just common sense.

I just checked the character customization and there is good variety between glasses that still show the eyes, to ones that do not.

Sorry, I meant transluscent. Brain fart. I only saw lighter shades rather than the dark ones.

Anyway, it's weird. Because I run 1 version of my client and I'm able to customize myself and see the dark sunglasses along with the lighter shades.

However, I just ran another client and only see the lighter shades and don't see an option for the darker ones.

Anybody know why this is occuring?

My alt has translucent dark shaded sunglasses in her portrait, but in the CQ they are mirrored :/

Hmm perhaps check your graphics settings and see that they are the same? Otherwise, if the result is different on different machines with the same settings, you ought to report a bug or petition. That's now how graphics are supposed to work.

I'm running an Nvidia GTX 465 for my graphics card, and I get a pretty good range of transparency on the glasses.

I approve, I like to know that the pilot I am talking to is looking at me when I talk to them, the dark shades didn't let me know they was looking at me.

Sometimes that is the purpose of shades, fancy wide-brimmed hats, and Amarrian hoods.

@Deen Wispa

Did altering your graphic settings solve your glasses issue?
I have been unable to reproduce this issue in-house but if it is still occurring for yourself then please enter a bug report with some images and settings included and I'll chase it up.

@Joe Skellington

The reflection issue with the glasses is known and being worked on.

Thanks to both of you for bringing these issues to our attention and thanks to the others for trying to help out. :)

Don't wear your sunglasses into your pod...
Pod good stuffs the mirror finish...

And you never know where they'll end up... It's like a washing machine in there, shopping lists, bottle caps and sunglasses...

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.
