Warp tunnel goes sideways

It's not a regular thing, but sometimes when I'm warping across a system, the warp tunnel effect will display at an odd angle - sometimes sixty degrees off on horizontal, vertical, or both, sometimes even more. It doesn't affect my actual velocity, but it's a bit disconcerting to be looking at my ship apparently skidding across the system.

Has anyone else seen this off-center warp effect, and does anyoen know of a solution?

I've noticed this appears to happen when someone else warps off at the same time you enter warp. The warp tunnel effect will be perfectly aligned to the direction the other ship is warping off, and for a moment you can watch their bracket zoom off down the tunnel, but unless you're heading the same way, the tunnel effect is misaligned for your own warp.

Had this from time to time since I started playing, so nothing really new (and not as annoying as the missing warp effect we had sometimes last year). Warping off at the same time sounds as an interesting reason (and I actually believe this could be true). Also, I experienced it more often with my faster aligning ships, e.g. my Prowler.

Possibly it gets confused if two people start warping at about the same time but the person who actually warps first isn't the one who started to warp first? If that were the case, it would happen more often in faster aligning ships. Alas, it's so hard to catch it happening that it's hard to tell... I only recently noticed that every time it happens, someone other than me is warping off in the direction the tunnel goes. Makes a certain kind of sense, though...

Hm if so this could be tested on both TQ and Singularity and see if this is really the cause of this and if so report bug reports on this to get it fixed ASAP.

Had reported this aswell and i too get this issue, think its mostly when flying legion but cannot tell for sure.

Alas, I had this happen earlier today when I'm sure no one else was around, so that kinda blows my whole theory out of the water... or at least, it means that it isn't the only cause of the problem. Those times I noticed people warping off in the direction of the misaligned tunnel may have been coincidence, or perhaps the fact that I was pointing my camera in that direction or clicking on them or their destination had something to do with it. Who knows... /sigh

i have noticed this and thought it was a buggy game until i zoom in on my ship and align the screen in direction of the tunnel and noticed the gate i was warping to was at a angle down below the gate i warped from

short version - align camera in direction of gate/ station you are warping to
