EVE New Citizens Q&A

Sorry if this is not the appropriate place to post this, but I did not see a technical support forum, and I guess I’m a noob and this is a Q needing an A so…

Briefly played EVE Online 2 years ago, and then stopped playing. Came back and decided I wanted to start over. Deleted the original Kid Chaos and remade him, because I like the name.

The issue that I’m having is that on my new corp’s killboard, I have the shared history of the old Kid Chaos. This would be fine, they were both me after all, so I don’t care that his kills and deaths show up on the board. The problem is that because the killboard is confused about the character, no image of the character is displayed on the killboard and the corporation being displayed is not my current character’s correct corporation. It doesn’t appear to be a real corp at all, in fact.

Anybody ever run into this issue or have any clue how to fix it? Again, I’m fine with sharing the old kill/death history, but I would like it if the killboard would update with my character’s pic and current corp. I appreciate any help on the matter.

Make a new char that has an extra character added somewhere?

That wasn't an attempt at backseat moderating, it was a legitimate question. I doubt CCP would have an issue too as they seem to be pretty friendly to most entities that use their API system.

Sounds like a Battleclinic issue to me. You can check to be sure though by manually looking at your killmail API; if the old kills are on there, it's CCP's fault.

Either way, I would suggest emailing Battleclinic (or whatever killboard you're using) and asking them to manually reset your char's history in their database. Then you simply give them your new API and it'll have all the kills with your new char.

What I'm theorizing has happened is that they have keyed their database to char name; so when you created a new char with the same name, all the old kills got tied to the new player with the same name.
