Ibis looks a little Gallente-ish, I like the design a lot though.

The impairor is super creative. I've never seen an amarr design like that before.

As much as I don't want to, I really like the new Reaper. Partially because with the original reaper I remember thinking "wtf is this" the first time I logged on. I'm sure I still have the actual chat log somewhere that says something to that effect.

Velator design is smart, because it always did look OK, but now it'll look cleaner. It does look slightly sturdier than I'd expect from Gallente.

Edit: yeah... taking another look a them, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to find an epic pvp fit for the ibis now.

I'm not really on board with the complete redesign of the Ibis. Though, if the model re-configures/deploys (like the new turrets), it would be worth it. I like how the new turrets make ships feel a little more "alive", more of this is good in my book.

They all look nice!
I like the new Amarr one the best.
The Caldari one looks nice. Maybe a littel tech-3-ish though.
The Velator has a touch too much "Caldari" in its design i feel.
I dont like the look of Minmatar "ships" in general so no comment on that one.

Do you intend to upgrade all ship designs in the same way as these, the Maller and the Scorpion?

edit: the Tornado for example looks disproportionately higher quality than most Minnie ships, both in terms of design and shader.

I definitely spotted a sign that says "HEAVY"
and one "HEAVY ASSAULT"
the blurred one may be "BOMB"
the one right beside the bomb one could maybe mean "CITADEL"

Did anyone get a better look on them?

Although I recognise the need to update art assets and maintain a consistent look & feel I am a little sad to lose the classic ship designs (I still prefer the old Scorpion for example).

I also think that the new look ships can sometimes collide with their flavour text (whats going to happen when the old warhorse that is the Dominix is redesigned?)

How about adding just a small addendum to this text on the re-done ships, something like "Redesigned in YC113"?

Awwww, my Velator is still ugly :'( I guess that's what I get for picking Gallente though :P

The new Ibis is not enough square-ish to be a Caldari.

The new Reaper is not enough scrap-and-tape looking, with frail looking fins and sails and jutting metal frames to be a Minmatar.

The new Velator is not organic/roundish enough to be a Gallente.

But overall, very good job.

The new (v3, from Strat Cruisers onward) art dep't has a feeling totally distinct from the Trinity (v2) one. It's cooler, mind you, but loses a bit of the original, weird-in-a-wicked-sense flavor.

But, well, taste is taste.

The designs are great, although the Impairor looks a lot like the current version (ofc with much more detail)

But please do the Tempest next =(

the new ibis is wonderful !

but why does the gallente and minmatar one are not symetrical while the ibis is now ? that's unfair !
