Recruitment Currently Suspended

Suspended? WAT DO?!

Well as you'll know if you've kept up to date with my updates Enlightened Industries has grown massively over the past couple of months. We went from around 120-130 to now approaching 200 members. A good chunk of these new members are unistas but we've also brought people from other sources too. Recruitment has exploded and it's down to various reasons, most notably our high participation in PvP. We have had many achievements since moving out to nullsec and we continue moving forward and setting new goals and targets for ourselves. We are now participating in capital operations with the alliance and have an alliance FC. We are also incredibly close to owning a Titan (we have the ISK). Our cap fleet is currently mobilizing and our numbers will rival the other corps in TEST. We are very much a successful, active, pro-active and above all relaxed and chilled out corporation.

Therein lies the problem; we have attracted that much attention and recruited that many people that we are literally bulging at the seems. Our fear is we grow so big that members become dis-attached and our community setting is lost. What has made us strong is our kinship and we want to ensure this is never lost. As mentioned previously we have created a "Mentor" system in which we have EU and US mentors assigned to new members to help integrate them into the corp, alliance and nullsec in general. This system helps to give confidence to new members by having one particular person in-corp to help them with whatever they need.

Therefore we are going to be halting recruitment until our Mentor team is complete. We aimed to have 3 mentors for each time zone and a mentor manager for each timezone. The managers will liaise with the recruiters and then get the ball rolling with assigning mentors to the new members. Once this team is complete we will reopen recruitment and most likely be heading towards 250 members by February at this rate!

What the dilly yo?!

So I'm going to continue updating this thread and keeping you all up to date and what ENL-I is doing. We are busy busy busy right now, to summarise:

TEST is invading Vale of the Silent (White Noise, Raiden, OWN & some guys called Rolling Thunder live here)
Goons are invading Branch (White Noise live here)

This is interesting because Raiden also own Tenal which is directly above Branch, and there is history between Goons and Raiden (Raiden are ex-BoB) and so it's in Raiden's interest to help defend White Noise's space in Branch. Therefore what is happening is a two-pronged attack, with TEST attacking their space and Goons attacking a different region of their space, meaning they are town between the two. With Solar Fleet and Legion of Death at each others throats both White Noise and Raiden are struggling to put the numbers needed in fleets, and have thus called on the help of Intrepid Crossing and Hell4s.

Now, I'm not prone to chest beating, or biased "we're amazing, you're crap" talk; if anything I think of myself as an impartial and entirely unbiased individual able to converse with all parties in a mature and respectful manner. That being said what I saw today was so unbelievable that it's difficult to talk about without coming across as entirely biased.

First of all, IRC, Hell4s and Raiden. formed up to kill a Goon POS in White Noise space, and to help defend Branch. White Noise stayed docked. As IRC etc were shooting the Goon tower a Goon bombing run, led by Mister Vee, completely destroyed the 120 man IRC Maelstrom/scimitar fleet. That's right, one bombing run obliterated IRC's entire fleet. I think 5 survived. Another bombing run also gutted Hell4s' fleet too. This left Raiden. on the field, probably wondering where White Noise were, and after losing ten Tengu's and an assortment of logistics/support ships they retreated. We then killed their tower, http://killboard.enl-i.com/index.php/kill_detail/6139/. From the killmail you will see Enlightened Industries had 16 people on the tower itself which was one of the highest participations from any corp there. Chufties were had in corp chat after this

So it's not clear what will happen during the next few weeks. White Noise are suffering severely from this campaign and without strong allies it looks like Raiden will suffer the same fate. Can the members of the DRF sort out their differences and regroup to defend? Only time will tell. One thing is for certain however and that is the next few months are going to be full of PvP glory!

I caught the advert just after you suspended recruitment. I sent an app in anyway, so give it a fair shake when you start up again. This is exactly the sort of corp i'm looking to join!

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!!

(Recruitment reopened by the way)

Enlightened Industries has had a truly epic week. In fact this could very well be the best week we've had in a long time.

Firstly we had an ENL-I Xmas Party. Over the course of the party, held on TS3, we had over 40 members come and go which is pretty good considering it was Christmas EVE. We all got smashed, had some fun and games... Oh, and only went and gave away over 20 billion ISK in ISK and prizes!! That's right, you read it right, 20 billion ISK!

We gave our Ally a whopping 5 billion ISK for being such an awesome recruitment manager and, well, a girl... :creepy: - She also cried on comms.
One of our members unjustly had his accounts banned from EVE so we all banded together donating to his new character fund - unbeknownst to him - and we managed to find a whopping 8.5 billion ISK to buy him a brand spanking new super carrier pilot! To say he was surprised was an understatement. He also got all emotional and cried via evemail.
On top of this we gave away:

2 x Thanatos
1 x Fully fit Legion
2 x Stabber fleet issue
2 x Dramiel
5 x assorted other faction frigs
tons of faction modules and other ships
1 x Wyvern BPC
billions more in liquid isk.

There were pictures of penis's. One had "Lovelocke" written on it, as did a hairy nippled chest using the nipples as O's. Songs were sung, terribly, on comms, with myself singing Beyonce If I were a boy, quite badly, on comms, to a special member. Queen's Bohemium Rhapsody was sung and an attempt at Sexy Back also happened, and failed. We had someone get his little sister on comms to win something, she was creeped out. + much much more. I dare say not many corps held Christmas parties, nor did they gave away such a large amount in prizes. That's something unique to ENL-I and something which makes us a great home.

As well as this we've managed to form an entire Mentor team, needing only some AU mentors now. Because of this we are reopening recruitment, effective immediately. All new members will be assigned a mentor relevant to their time zone who will help and guide them in their first week in ENL-I, making the transition to a new corp, new alliance and nullsec a lot easier.

Our news website http://www.EVESwarm.com is also gathering quite a following, with yours truly the head news writer on there. It is currently being publicized throughout TEST and the CFC and we're hoping to become the premier EVE news website in time. Our articles are unbiased and written to a much higher degree than other sites.

Now I'll finish this update with a mention to our killboard, http://killboard.ENL-I.com - This month has been a record month for the corp with over 1600 kills so far. As well as this our entire Top10 have 100+ kills with our Top5 200+ and our Top2 (soon to be Top3) 300+. We are second on the TEST killboard for the month by almost 500 kills too, second only to Dreddit who have 2500+ members. This month, so far, we have done 215 billion ISK in damage killing 16 carriers, 2 dreadnoughts, 355 battlecruisers, 272 battleships and 50 T3's! Numbers don't tell the full story but this should give you a guide as to the amount of PvP that's happening for us right now. We literally have the best of both worlds; Goons invading Branch and TEST invading Vale, fights on all sides. We of course place importance on our TEST operations but when things are quiet we like to pod-jump up into Deklein and get on some epic fights. I was personally just in this fight in Branch which saw 30 + carriers killed and a total killed on both sides of over 130billion ISK, in 1 fight!!: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12007485 - Fighting is fierce and we need more meet for the grinder!

2012 Starts With A Bang!

Mentor Team a Great Success!

As you may have seen from our previous updates, we have implemented a mentor team to help new recruits get to grips with life in nullsec and help them registering for our comms, forums etc. The mentor sticks with the new recruit provisionally for a week, at which point the recruit can request more time. This also gives our new recruits a point of contact inside the corp which will make the task of making friends a lot less daunting.

The recruitment team has kept the mentor team busy as we burn through our backlog of applications!

TEST Hits a Brick Wall

A quote which is being banded about right now is one from a Mister Vee: "TEST don't go slow, they go lightening fast in one direction until they hit a brick wall then 180 and repeat". (Quite possibly paraphrased here).

Our campaign in Vale has hit a brick wall, that wall being Raiden's massive super cap fleet. We expected Raiden to be helping White Noise to defend their space in Branch, but other than a couple of skirmishes the region fell with little resistance. Raiden instead fully deployed to Vale, seemingly abandoning their space in Tenal (which resides just above Branch and most likely next on Goons' list). Although we are able to match the Vale entities in numbers we simply don't have the same kind of super cap fleet that they do, meaning they can drop them with impunity.

What will happen next however is anybody's guess. Will we stay true to Vee's quote and run in a different direction? Or will we persevere?

Killing... You get used to the killing...

Enlightened Industries has stayed true to form by starting the year with a ing amount of kills. Since the start of the year we have had over 400 kills and sit proudly, as usual, second on TEST's killboard. I say proudly because the top spot is always Dreddit who have 2500+ members, which is massively more than we have. So second spot to us is as good as top spot.

We also killed the years first super capital ship which is pretty epic.

If you want to get some serious killing done, whether it's small gang or large blob then you can't go wrong with us.

Germinating Geminate

One Hundred and Eighty!

So our 180 degree turn took us straight to Geminate. So far it has been a much more successful campaign with several key stations reinforced which we expect to have claimed by this weekend. Pandemic Legion, as well as NCDot, have been getting us involved in the action and flying with them is always a treat. Right now we're getting the best of both worlds; our own interests being catered for, with help from our allies, and we're getting in the big scraps outside of Geminate.

So you can better understand what's happening out here I am going to give a brief political summary:

Legion/Shadow of xXDeathXx and Solar Wing, former allies, have a bit of a spat. This was caused by a member of one alliance who stole hundreds of billions in isk and assets being accepted into the other. There was a lot of drama at the time which didn't dissipate. Eventually Solar Wing, the victims of the theft, reset both Legion and their renting alliance Shadow and began hostilities. This is where the original fighting began

Soon after war broke out Solar Wing recruited the help of Intrepid Crossing who, in case you don't know, are a very large alliance living in Cobalt Edge. Although not known for their PvP prowess they do however provide a large number of pilots willing to die for the cause. With the added numbers on Solar's side Shadow of xXDeathXx quickly began losing fights as well as much of their space.

Sensing their imminent demise xXDeathXx paid a hefty sum to both Pandemic Legion and NCDot to help them. Adding this superiority of the battlefield to their numbers you would have thought it would have been a complete rollover of Solar and IRC but just when you thought things couldn't get any more exciting Solar enlist the help of both Gypsy Band and The Initiative. You may not follow the EVE-Kill capital kills board but Gypsy Band and The Initiative are responsible for a ingly large amount of super cap kills against Red Alliance. The **** was so severe RA demanded all supers grounded. Gypsy and INIT are well respected PvP alliances. Suffice to say shizzle just got real.

So where does this leave TEST? Well we're simply adding to the numbers on the side of xXDeathXx. Solar's recruitment of Gypsy and INIT were a diamond move on their part and it certainly makes our effort in defeating Solar a much more complicated one. In any event the fighting out here in Geminate and the bordering regions is going to be pretty epic and to say we're an excited bunch is an understatement.

The kills! Show me the kills!!

Last week was a little quieter than the first week but it ended in a couple of bloodbaths which bumped our kills up. We finished with just over 300 kills for the week and ended with a pretty epic raping of multiple Dreadnoughts and Carriers which we hot dropped. Our PvP competition prizes have all been doubled and we now give out 200mil a week in prizes - this is on top of our fairly large monthly prize too.

We also had our first carrier loss! Shock!! Fortunately it wasn't some moron ratting in a Sanctum with it but on a sanction PvP operation. TEST had its cap fleet welped. I we lost somewhere in the region of 7 dreadnoughts and 6 carriers, which kinda balances out our earlier victory. Still, this is PvP, you have wins and you have losses. We had supers on the field which managed to escape, so it could have been much worse.

EVESwarm!

In case none of you have noticed I actually quite like to write. A lot. My corpies have been complaining about the massive wall of texts I've been giving them to read in corp mails, so I've put my fingers to another task and with a few friends have set up a new news website - http://www.EVESwarm.com

We wanted to create a more neutral, unbiased news site. It's still in its early stages but we're getting good reviews already. For those forum regulars you will particularly enjoy my article on Small Gang PvP, which includes an article by Agony member Glepp. You can also follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/EVE_Lovelocke

And if you have any ideas for an article, or would like to contribute, then feel free to get in touch. You don't have to be blue either, we especially look for opposing sides opinions.

Titan Down

A Battle of Epic Proportions

On Saturday myself and many of my corp mates were involved in an absolutely massive battle in 92D in Venal. The battle saw the 2012's first titan loss, which yours truly was a part of killing. It was immense. I have written a battle report for my site http://www.EVESwarm.com so check it out when it goes live tomorrow.

This was the exact reason why I play EVE and why I live in nullsec. The fighting recently has been savage with victories and defeats on both sides. Even despite the fact that ENL-I isn't deployed in that region we still put in a very respectable number into the fleets. Local saw over 1350, super capitals were dropped, dreadnoughts sieged, tengu's dropped on maelstroms... the list goes on and on.

Money Making Weekend

The weekend just gone was declared a money making weekend (not so politely put by TEST) and so all corps reduced tax down to 0%. My corpies have fattened their wallet but it was pleasing to see that most of them were bored and hungry to fight, and so over the weekend we continued the killing.

It was nice to see this sort of thing though, an alliance which recognises the need for its members to be wealthy. Without ISK we would not be able to PvP, even with the reimbursements we still need a little extra for insurance etc. So big thanks to TEST for making this happen.

More Corp Benefits!

The corp now owns a jump freighter (Anshar) and we are implementing free logistic runs from Jita to our staging system, meaning our members will safe tons of ISK fitting their ships. This has gone down very well with our members.

Because of the sheer amount of carriers owned by people in ENL-I moving ships from different areas is a breeze. There is a really strong community vibe in the corp when everyone helps everyone else to get their stuff moved.

Successful Geminate

Our campaign in Geminate is going drastically more successful than our Vale campaign. We have now taken two station systems and will soon be redeploying to one of them. I for one am very pleased to be moving out of this god forsaken lowsec crap hole - can't you tell I hate lowsec? We've taken many Tech moons for the alliance which will benefit us all. It's also nice to be winning for a change lol!

Another Titan Down LOL

You wait all day for one...

Enlightened Industries waited a long time to kill a titan but, true to the saying, in January so far we've killed two! The second one was Black Legion's and they got a little too cocky with it, warping back to the same spot over and over and getting caught by one of our dictors - the rest is history.

Although last week wasn't the best for ENL-I in terms of actual kills we did however kill a massive amount ISK value with a second nyx of the month being killed too. As well as this I just took a peek at our Geminate PvP stats for the alliance and lets just say we've improved on our already impressive statistics for Vale.

We just keep on growing!

Recruitment is, as always, steady and we bring in a manageable amount of people each week, many of whom are ex unistas. As each week goes by we see our numbers in fleet ops go up and the general strength of the corp increase. What I love about bringing in ex unistas is the sheer amount of energy they have and the enthusiasm they show. They are like putty in our hands, allowing us to mould them (and touch them...) and shape them to how we want, ensuring they become a useful addition to our corp and alliance.

But we don't just recruit from the uni; our reputation as a great home has spread throughout our coalition and we get many blues applying too. We even get hostiles applying which, I imagine, is down to the gentlemanly like nature we show in local to them as we're killing 'em

Shizzle getting real

Geminate has been a fairly quiet deployment for us; we've had some good scraps and a titan kill but typically it's very quiet. That hasn't stopped us from amassing well over one and a half thousand kills this month mind. But something happened recently which has excited us all; Raiden announced they would be invading Deklein, the home of our best buds Goonswarm Federation! You can read my article about it here on EVESwarm: http://eveswarm.com/2012/01/deklein-by-february/

What does this mean for ENL-I? Well we will most likely be deploying to VFK, the capital of Deklein, to help defend the region from the massive onslaught of Raiden and their allies. Raiden, in case you didn't know, are a very strong and capable Russian alliance who helped to topple the mighty Northern Coalition almost one year ago. This is a threat that is being taken very seriously by the entire CFC. There have been some skirmishes over in Branch and Venal already, resulting in 1500+ people in local and hundreds upon hundreds of ship kills. And this is just the foreplay so I'm sure you can imagine how messy full intercourse is going to be!

Come be our meatshield heroes!

We need more people to come help the fight! Do not for one moment think we're elitist and that you're not good enough, we have a mentor programme for all new recruits which helps them with everything from comms registration to ship fits. There are wiki's with everything on that you need to know and our entire CFC is very newbie friendly. We even give out free rifters and encourage "newbros" to get on fleets! Even if we have 400 battleships we still need rifters. We are incredibly friendly, down to Earth and do our utmost in helping you get started in your big nullsec adventure.

Destruction, Destruction, Destruction

A Week to Remember

The first week in February has been drenched with blood. We have had, bearing in mind this is only the 6th, 425 kills amounting to an incredible 80 Billion ISK in damage done! This figure includes zero super capitals and only 2 capitals which should go a long way to explain just the sort of fighting we've been having. I have literally just got back from a fleet which killed over 50 -A- Tengu's and will undoubtedly be talked about on the forums. This week we have killed 72 strategic cruisers which have been a mixture of kills in Geminate and kills in Venal. The fighting in this past 6 days has been absolutely amazing with local often rising above 1000 and putting TiDi to the test.

And, what's more, this is only the beginning; the invasion of Deklein is still in its infancy. No real move at taking SOV from the GSF has occurred yet with most of the fighting happening over Tech moons in Branch/Venal. It is expected that the fighting will go up a few notches in the coming weeks and, looking at how epic it has already been, I seriously cannot wait.

Houses of ENL-I

Due to the increasing size of ENL-I we are soon going to be introducing "Houses". I'm going to briefly explain what these are and what their purpose is:

A House is similar to an ILN squad in that it is a smaller group within the overall corporation. So as to ensure our corp culture and identity isn't diluted we're creating these houses which will cover all timezones and aspects of game play. A house will essentially act as a microcosm of the corp with people being able to form their friendships and do their business with people within their house.

The benefits of this are numerous: we can run competitions with houses competing against each other, we can have specific pvp objectives for each house etc etc the list is endless. More importantly however it is going to give people the opportunity to have a position of responsibility but without the stress involved of it being permanent, and by this I mean we will have a "house commander" which will be temporary and voted upon, so everyone has the chance to be in charge for a short period of time to see whether they like it or not. We will also be encouraging small gang pvp and setting up FC's in each house in all time zones, and we also expect that due to there being less people budding FC's will have more confidence to take out a fleet.

Right now our size does not make these houses a necessity however we are looking to the future and planning ahead. We are very nearly at 230 members and we're growing at a nice steady rate. This is just another example of ENL-I management planning for the future and ensuring the corp runs smoothly.

ENL-I Mentorship a Success!

One of the reasons why we're doing so well right now is the Mentor Team that we put in place to help new recruits get to grips with life in a sov holding alliance. The team helps with registering on comms, jabber, forums etc and acts as a first point of contact for new members who are struggling or just have some general queries. This means that we don't have people joining who are immediately overwhelmed and don't know what to do, instead we bring people in and within 20-30 minutes they're fully set up and getting in fleets. Because of the level of support we offer our members it means our "retention rate" of members is incredibly high; this basically means that we have very few leavers.

We've created a fun and stable environment in an otherwise hostile and unstable area of space, that being nullsec. We are regularly hitting over 40 members online during our peak, which just happens to span several hours, and are hitting past 20 members online in our quieter periods. Things are definitely pretty epic right now in the corp

Looking good there fella...

ENL-I Performing Like A Baws

Well it has been another glorious week for the corp. We've managed to get another 500+ kills, bringing our less-than-two-week-total to over 1100. PvP right now is amazing with fleets going up all day every day. There's something for all timezones, be it AU, EU or US. Everyone in the corp is having a lot of fun and our newer members are managing to get onto these fleets thanks to the help they get from their mentors. Participation is incredibly high right now, in fact we're putting more people into fleets than a fair few of the alliances are out here. Everyone is absolutely blapping like crazy!

Recruitment is steady as usual; I've actually had to put Megacorp Management V on train (takes 2 weeks) because we're about to hit 230 members much sooner than I expected. We have such a good reputation we're attracting people from all areas of EVE, sometimes even from our enemies! inb4spai

Enlightened Houses

I have mentioned our "houses" previously but basically we're implementing smaller sub-communities which will break down our mass of members into more manageable groups. This will help newer members find their feet quicker and give them more confidence. It also gives the corp a lot of opportunities in terms of inter-corp contests and we're also going to be going a little role-play (somewhat) and writing up some fictional stories for them too. We're really giving our members some fantastic opportunities with getting involved, whether it's as a writer, a recruiter, a mentor etc, our community is so strong and it's thanks to our open policy on progression.

The houses are currently having their names voted on. We allowed everyone to make suggestions and, minus the obligatory "house of vagina" type suggestions we narrowed it down to 20 possibilities, and now we have two forum polls deciding on what the final names will be. Everyone is really looking forward to these being implemented.

Signs of change

We are cracking down on our recruitment! Fear not my faithful readers, we are not cracking any whips yet. We are simply getting down in writing our already existing membership and recruitment guidelines to make the process even more straight forward for you. Because of our size and the amount of people we are attracting it is necessary to completely stipulate what is expected of you as a member; i.e. don't be a nobhead. These guidelines will help to ensure we only bring in the right people who will add to our already epic community and make the game even more fun for all of our members.

Lovelocke is famous!!!11

Well it would be inevitable that I get to brag so here it is; my writing onhttp://www.EVESwarm.com is receiving a lot of positive press right now. Some of my articles were being mentioned in CCP employee's tweets, especially one of my battle reports on 92D and the years first titan loss. CCP then went on to use my battle report as an example of their TiDi working as intended in a recent devblog: http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=3412. Then, as if my head could not get any bigger and the doors weren't widened enough as it is, I got mentioned over on PCGamer.com: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/02/13/eve-onlines-mad-time-dilation-tech-beats-lag/.

I have to say it is a little exhilarating having my writing discussed on other mediums and with such positive comments. It is certainly bringing the corp some good press right now too, everyone is chuffed their CEO is getting so much love

I have just joined these guys and would encourage anyone looking at moving to 0.0 to consider them.

As you may gather from this thread the CEO has to be one of the most hard working players in Eve at the moment. All credit to him for not only building up a corp of this size in such a relatively short space of time, but also establishing strong links with the alliance, fostering a high level of PvP success and encouraging a great sense of community.

Within my first 48 hours of joining I was out in an 80 strong 'ARMOR HAC!!!' fleet, melting many a face with my lazors and getting my first ever podkill (soooo good). If that sounds like your cuppa tea then give us a shout.

Bigger and bigger (and a little stupider...)

Reaching New Heights

Pretty much every week I talk about how much we've grown in the past week and how much stronger we've become and this week will be no different. We've brought a good number of people in this week who have been proving how effective our Mentor scheme is by jumping straight into fleets and furthering the good name of Enlightened Industries. Our participation in fleets is even higher than it has been and as a corp we're putting more people into fleets than many alliances. Last night we were involved in an absolutely epic battle which saw over 1600 people fighting. We had 24 people involved in the fighting, the battle report of which can be found here: https://kb.pleaseignore.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=374794

In addition to this yesterday we set a new record of online members in the Corp when we reached 51!

Enlightened Houses

We have held a voting process, in two stages, and have decided upon what our initial three ENL-I Houses will be called: Serenity, Immortalis & Aurora.

These Houses will act as smaller communities within the overall community of the corp and will make interaction and making friends a much less daunting prospect to new members. Each house will have a Director assigned to it to ensure everything is moving forward as intended and we will have a House Commander which will be a month long term and voted in. This will give people the opportunity at being in a position of responsibility without any great stress being put on them. We will also have many House specific communications, such as dedicated rooms in our TS3, Forums, in-game mailing lists etc.

As we grow bigger the introduction of these Houses will prove invaluable in keeping the core philosophies and ideologies of the corp intact as well as keeping our core community values strong. Once in place we will be able to continue growing without fear of diluting what we already have and we will be able to introduce many new fun things for our members to do.

Enhanced Corp Communications

Thanks to many people in the corp our means of communication is growing and become much stronger.

We have a fully functioning and lively forum which also serves as an access point for prospective new recruits to submit their application and for existing members to submit their corp SRP requests. We also use the forum heavily to pass down information to our members and to put on guides etc for peoples information. We have a brand new Teamspeak 3 server with a whole host of fancy icons and other stuff I don't understand. On top of this we now have a Wiki page which is currently being set up and will soon act as an information station to prospective new recruits and a home for our corp guidelines. Each House will also have its own page.

And, last but not least, we will soon be getting a brand new website which will sit @ http://www.ENL-I.com. The site will most likely be Wordpress based and I will be able to update people through that on the latest goings on in the corp. The site will link to our other resources such as Killboard, Forum etc. Oh, and it'll be very sexy!

EVESwarm

In case you haven't seen, one of my EVESwarm articles (The Battle of 92D) was posted on CCP's Facebook page, mentioned in their Devblog and also mentioned in their email newsletter. As if this wasn't great enough PCGamer.com also featured my article in one of their articles - which managed to send 500,000 unique hits to our site in one day. I have been thoroughly enjoying writing for EVESwarm and it's nice to have my writing recognized in such a dramatic way.

I am also pleased to announce the introduction of our Idiot In Space section, written by ENL-I member Fatsoba, which has been also received very well from the community and also mentioned on CCP's Facebook page.

We are now in contact with many entities in EVE, even those hostile to us, and they are beginning to trust us enough to begin divulging their side of the story making our articles as unbiased as possible.

A Funny Story To End with

I will have to do a tl:dr version, full version of this story can be found over on our Work Fair E-Uni forum thread.

Basically I took the corp JF to Jita to pick up supplies. Due to wardecs I dropped him from corp before entering high-sec. Got him to Jita, picked up the stuff and set the cyno chain home active. Got him back to our deployment point, VFK in Deklein - Goons home system - tried to dock and was refused. Realised, as I was sat in my 5.5bil ship on the station undock, I hadn't rejoined corp and was currently neutral to the GSF. I screamed in local not to shoot and logged off.

Luckily he wasn't tackled. I logged him back in, got him in fleet with an exit cyno and prepared to jump. Landed back on station with potential hostiles waiting. Tried to jump but error message told me I didn't have enough capacitor. Began crapping myself. Tried again, worked.

Crapped myself severely.

Enlightened Industries had 19 motherfucking people in this fleet!

This is just ******* astounding. We were the 3rd largest corp participating in this op, only below DREDDIT and Goonwaffe, both of which have over 2000+ people in them. We put more people into this fleet than most other alliances did. We're flying right now guys, well done to everyone involved and keep it up!

You had 19 people in fleet which accounts for 7.6% of your memberbase, wow way to go.....that is hardly an achievement. Get that number up closer to 25% and thats something to shout about.

Hey friend. As with most corporations a good number of those 250 "members" are actually alts. I know of at least 2 people in our corp who have at least 10 characters in the corporation. Speaking of percentages for participation is folly, as highlighted above in and in many recent ops where our corporation has had equal or higher participation than many alliances much bigger than us. By all means, we are not an :elitepvp: corporation. On the contrary, I would say that most of our members consider themselves pretty horrible at this game. All we are saying is that we are a very active corp and we love to get stuck in when the big fights come. Our high ranking on our alliance killboard is very much a product of this, as again, we would never claim to be elite pvpers and we always welcome participation whether it be people flying fleet doctrine ships, capitals, or tackle frigates.

Anyways, enough of that. You all should consider joining us. I will probably praise you for coming on a fleet in a rifter or yell at you for losing a tengu ratting. Either way, you win. Somehow.

You're quoting a post which was made on the 22nd of September but you have used our current numbers to make your calculation. According to Dotlan we had just over 100 members on the 22nd of September, link here for reference: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/Enlightened_Industries/stats/2011-09-22:2011-09-23 - This puts the percentage at just under 20%, not far off the number you quoted as being something to shout about.

Anyway, despite that fact, ENL-I is fully international meaning we have a good portion of members in the AU timezone. For a corp which is fully international being able to put such a high percentage of members into a fleet is quite an achievement, at least in my own biased opinion.
