Mining should be more intresting, but that is quite a fleet you need. what about this idea.

this would work as a different way to mine,


It should contain a frigate size small ship [this could be a cloaker, though placing charges would decloack it] , that can place charges on certain asteroids (better skill more effective more charges)

Charges could be detonated with a module (AoE damage to all in the blast radius) {I think there should be a notification in the solar system, somewhat simular to a cryno.

then you bring in a Mining ship that dust up the scrapnel like a whale collecting plancton (would be a bit less efficient than normal mining but probably faster (hell you could even leave some charges to defend your self from oppertunist pirates that are drawed to the explosion) or fuel anti pirating pirating. (ring the bell boom, everyone in the system is notified, wait for them to show up and blast them in the second set of explosiong, bring in the Mining whale to collect the goods and loot the wrecks with the detonation ships.
