Where would be the best place I could research EVE's backstory for the purposes of RP, not neccesarily with other people I just like to 'think' like my charecter if I can.

The extremely handy PDF's they put out of the EvE fiction archives is the best way to go. Even more so if you have an Ereader.

Evelopedia has a repository of all the official eve fiction posted to the website.

Also under no circumstances should you read the novels written by Tony Gonzales. I think I lost a braincell for every page of Empyrean age.

Read all of the ones about general EVE history, (wars, speeches, leaders etc) and you can pretty much pick and choose from there and use the others as reference if you need to. Just get an idea about what all of them are about.

After that you should have a general idea of most of the lore.

In fact I was kinda wondering how that devious mind behind those cheeky chops of yours was going to somehow come up with a BBC link that related to your obsesion with my litlle pony Roll

Also back on topic, I think this is the one subject I've found so far in EVE where CCP actually keep better information than 3rd party and fan sites, funny as most likely it's the least used info
