Do I need the Captain quarters to play eve online?

Hi guys

Ok so I have about 6 day left of my 14 trail and I have got no when in the tutorial because when I am in the Captain quarters the screen freeze on me, so I was thinking can I play eve online without using the Captain quarters?

Yes, switch to ship hanger mode with the button on the station panel

That is one possibility, it will not load your fancy space barbie but just your ship (ship spinning ftw). If even that freezes your PC you can disable the CQ, this means whenever your in station you just see a static image. This will reduce load on you GPU a lot and you can still do almost all things (except walking around or spinning your ship) using the Neocom on the left side.

ESC -> Display & Graphics -> right column -> uncheck [ ] Load Station environment

Then undock & redock.
