Failure in COSMOS mission final?

I was walking through the Amarr Cosmos missions with this guide http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Amarr_Cosmos_(Guide). Sadly I was using a crappy internet connection over my mobile and eventually the endless disconnections caused my ship to be blown-up.

This happened while on my way to the Lord Mantel's mansion during the Manel's Disappearance (5 of 5) mission.
So now Bartezo's Message and Key to Lord Manel's Mansion are floting there in the space, where I cannot get them anymore.

So was that it then? I can forget this line of COSMOS missions?

Otherwise yes - COSMOS failures can be final, you get one chance at these missions.

You can also check contracts for the required items.

Unfortunately your ship wreck will only last for about 2 hours otherwise someone could have retrieved the items for you.
