When I try to run EVE, I get a WINE error after the client staying as a black screen for a few minutes. Im running Ubuntu 11.10 x64 with WINE-1.2.3 with NVIDIA GTS 450 with Driver version 280.13

Upgrade your WINE. There's a PPA to keep it current (1.4rc2 or something now).
