Last night I bought a skillbook.
Like the noob I am, I didn't bother to check the system it was in, which turned out to be low sec.
Arriving at the station I discovered it was being camped by a Chimera, a Hurricane and a Sleipnir.
So once inside there was very little for me to do, after switching my clone to that station and undocking in my pod for a brief look at a carrier up close.

I decided to explore the limits of my quarters.
I awkwardly walked around it, so used to holding right click and moving the mouse to turn that using left instead felt weird.
I examined the walls and floors and doors that go nowhere.
I looked at the little hologram of the ship I couldn't safely undock.
I sat in the chair.
I stood up from the chair.
I examined all 3 screens, the corporations screen listing various corps I had no interest in joining, the PI screen which was pretty but baffling as I lack the skills and knowledge to engage in that aspect of gameplay, and the agents screen showing me the wide number of agents who won't talk to me in systems I can't visit.

After doing all that (and briefly admiring my character's perfectly rendered behind) I did what any self-respecting bored pilot would do... started idly spinning my character.
To my horror and dismay, no matter how I spun, no counter appeared to tell me how well I was doing.
Try it yourself if you don't believe me.

How this has escaped the notice of other players, the developers, or the CSM I do not know.
This is a crucial issue and should receive the same degree of outrage not seen since they tried to change the flavour text of The Device.
This post may seem like it's barely disguised complaining about CQ, but I assure you with every fiber of my being... it's really about the monumental importance of a character spin counter.

After all that ship spinning you really need to get up and stretch your legs once in a while. Like everything in Eve, there need to be numbers and spreadsheets associated with it. I love it.

while we are at spin counters, besides a counter for the character spinning we also need a counter for ship and character spinning that doesn't reset on relog. i want to see somewhere, even if its just in the api xml how often i've spun my ship since the introduction of the counter.

Someone posted a screenshot a while back showing their ship spin counter registering over 250k spins from a single session

The intelligence of a post rises geometrically with each dink who bothers to post how stupid it is. The post was creative, insightful and entertaining. What was stupid was you bothering to type "too stupid...didn't care" as if anyone cares what you think is stupid.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Cause watching avatars who do nothing but hunch over and scratch their necks isn't as awesome as admiring the detail and design of the ships in the game.

I just checked on TQ and I was unable to reproduce this problem. The ship spinning counter appeared properly (once I had spun my ship 10 times) and appeared to count correctly.

OP wants a character spin counter, he is not talking about the ship spin counter...

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Maybe I didn't quite understand you there, but why would one want to switch their medical clone to a camped station?

Well, they oughta know what to do with them hogs out there for shure.

...and not basing the medical clone to the camped station would deny you pressing the undock button?

Was the intent to, after the event of getting podded, be at the same station again, just to be at the current ship, yet still camped? I'm kind of missing the context here; My assumption is that a valid medical clone was at some other station - and, camped and curious as I would be, I would be happy to be out of the camped situation despite just being podded. Jump into another ship in your new life and off you go...

Hence I'm curious why one would want to awake at the same camped station again, in a system not desired to be.

Well, they oughta know what to do with them hogs out there for shure.
