For those of you who live in wormholes or spend a lot of time scanning in them, I would appreciate if you could confirm if this table is anywhere near accurate:

Well, you can't look at the absolute signal strengths, rather compare them relatively, as signal strength differs depending on skills and equipment.

Large = 2x medium or 4x small
Medium = 2x small

Large: K162, low quality Perimeter gas and ore sites
Medium: medium quality Frontier gas and ore sites
Small: radar and mag sites, high quality Core gas and ore sites

Womholes other than K162 are all sizes (example: H296 are always large, D792 are always small) , and anything falling outside the above three categories is always a wormhole.

Top left of Mio's site, and people can change the sensor strength to reflect that of their own probe.

Hi Mio,

I have just got my deep space probes and living in a C6 with a static C4 I can confirm some of the data ...
However, it seems that you have more than 3 bands of signal strengths for each class wormhole, is this correct?
To my knowledge there is only 3 bands, large, medium and small?

But I assume that's what the colors represent?

Using some file's from Daneel Trevize's Mini Daneel WH app it seems that your outgoing and/or static WHs fall into more than just the 3 S/M/L bands

Looks pretty good to me. Some obviously are missing, but your calculations look good. Tried 6 different character combinations, all matched up with what I've seen.

Have been scanning on a pretty much daily basis for the last few months now.
Also have recently been taking note of the strengths of the initial signal for the anom.
From the ones I see on that chart they look pretty accurate, nice link

FYI, just about all of Daneel's data comes from an AHARM member named Kirian Kador, it would be good to give credit where it is due.

Thanks for the heads up, wasn't aware of this, will edit accordingly :)

Hi Mio,

Your numbers tie in with what I have seen, Its a good way to quickly find statics.

I'm a noob at this. How can you tell it's a static?

Well, the proper way is you close the wormhole, if a wormhole of the same ID spawns instantly, that is a static.

More commonly nowadays, go to wormnav.com, put in the J-number and it will tell you what the static for that wormhole is.
