Why you should vote for me!

1. I'm OLD. Older than everyone!

2. I know everything but I don't have the answers!

3. I'll advocate for you! High Sec, Low Sec, No Sec! It don't matter!

4. I have ideas but not all of the ideas!

5. I'm the people's candidate!

What I'm not!

1. Not overly friendly with children like some candidates, I don't even like children!

2. I don't cook up meth in a trailer park like some candidates!

3. I don't disclose CSM secrets nor do I run a news site!

4. I'm not a snazzy dresser and my hair doesn't stand up like I just stuck my dingaling in a light socket!

5. I'm not part of the old regime or any regime!

6. I'm not crazy! Or insane! Or on pills! Or strange!

What I am!

1. Easy going! I can work with anyone!

2. Very experienced at Eve Online!

3. Very organized!

4. Your advocate!

I'm not taking sides! I'm human though, there are candidates I like and some I don't. I would like to thank our present CSM for doing such a great job because without them, this election might not have happened! Every one of them should be commended!

That's it, Whippersnappers! My hat is in the ring. Send me to Iceland and I'll give that Hilmar feller what for! Packing the extra cans of the whoopass in my luggage!

Could you advocate for all players recieving the new Quaffe Iteron IV, just not the lucky dudes going to fanfest? Or at least a Tear Iteron IV for all us sad people missing out on the fun of fanfest as well as missing out on the new iteron.

I think there should be special non-fanfest items to counter fanfest items.

My character could be, it's that old.

Yes, you can call it the geriatric platform if you like.... Speaking of old things, what do you think about bringing back space mines?

Wow, this is rather unique.

Have a like, it's part of the democratic process.

You claim to be sane. Can you please provide us a release of your medical records to verify that claim? Thanks.

I could but you would be quite bored as I've never been to a shrink. Also, while I can request my own records under HIPAA, the notes from the shrink may be withheld, as it falls into a physician safe harbor. I guess the government doesn't want the doctor to upset the patient!

I assure you that I am sane. If anything, if this election sets the bar for sanity, I am above that bar. At any rate, I promise that I will leave your children alone, I won't blow up a trailer park, I won't write biased news and I won't place a burning cross in your front yard. Is that sane enough for you?

I hope so! Because I want to win!

From whence originates temerity such that you feel compelled to mock the very race you have joined?

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not a trollish person but I see issues with certain candidates. I would prefer the CSM not change this year, but we wouldn't be a democracy if it didn't. I shall mock the people that need to be mocked. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who I mean by my last post. These people are real winners. I cannot imagine what our game would be like if they won. Frankly, it scares me.

I've played this game since before it was a game, when it was complete crap. You might have noticed my lack of corp history... I'm one of the few that's left. I remember what life was like without warp to zero, alliances, faction warfare or tech 2. Eve was a very scary place then. If I could contribute anything to the CSM, that would be it. Note, the game does not have to be harder, it does not have to steepen the learning curve or introduce new spreadsheets... but I believe that things could be balanced in a way to reintroduce the concept of danger. Those who know how to adapt will have alot of fun. Those who don't, will cry. This is the way of the game.

Oh, to follow up my last post: I want mining to be profitable again. I want mining to be worth a real risk. I want it to be worth the investment. It's not today. That would be the biggest good change to hi-sec. To null-sec, sov mechanics. Sov mechanics are crap. If a PTS alum can see how crappy the mechanics are, it really tells the tale.

Ah yes, sov. Timers Online: an internet counting down to out of reinforcement cycle game.

I don't have the answer for this... it needs to be different though. I can think of any number of ways to fix it but it won't be the right fix. I guess that's why its a council and not a Person of Stellar Management.

I do have one idea about local chat though:

Why can't local be more like a forum or jabber? Have it support emoticons and even have it where alliances can have their own emoticons? Make local a chat and not a intelligence tool. This shouldn't be hard to do, after all, chat is basically IRC. Also, make the chat available out of game, via Eve Gate or your client of choice. That would be sweet.

To shore up the intelligence gap, make every ship have onboard sensors that display local counts by standing. Now, give EAS ships the ability to jam these readouts, say, each EAS ship gets to jam a 1 AU sphere, maybe further out with skills. It would make EAS worth something AND make them valuable to fly in numbers. Just an idea, maybe not a good one!

Your idea for removing local sucks. Yet before I completely go against you let me ask your views on incursions.

You don't seem very experienced to me. I can't tell if this is a joke thread or not, is it supposed to be funny?

I wouldn't want to remove it... I want to update it. The latest change to player lists was like the first visible change since I can remember. I want to replace the functionality of the count with something that is more effective. Let me ask you this: how many times have you scanned your list in local and tried to count the hostiles when the channel was above 200? Wouldn't you like a readout at the top of the screen that says: "100 in local" 20 blue, 20 light blue, 20 red, 20, orange, 20 neutral" ?

Shameful edit: I forgot to answer your incursion question. I like them. Good isk and it forces people to work together. Unfortunately, it's easy to be shut out of a incursion and I don't know how to solve that. It's also a grind after a while and if the payouts were any lower, they wouldn't be successful.

I don't believe in k/d ratios. Eve is what you make of it, you don't have to kill people to have a good time.
