There seems to be allot of resistance to giving new players a helping hand when they start out the game.

Facts:

MMO's must grow in player base to stay competitive in the MMO market.
In order to grow they must have new players joining regularly.
Eve Online is the best MMO EVER!

Do not want:
Do not want easier eve.
Do not want gold ammo or Premium content.

Solution:
Stop bitching about CCP making a better tutorial system, it's necessarily for new players to figure things out before they can enjoy the game.
Don't just 'asplod a noob, 'asplode them and then kindly tell them what they did wrong.

The reality is that Eve is not an easily approached game, but it is a damn good one that we need to share to keep it going. So help CCP keep some of their new players so we can keep our Eve and we aren't forced to watch Eve crash and burn to then get stuck between choices like World of Whiners, and Universe of Wallet Warriors.

I don't see any resistance to helping players get a start in the game. Only resistance I see is making it easier in general.

CCP gave me a little bunny to hold then kicked me out into space, why should they start holding hands?

Not really. It's your opinion.
As long as they earn enough to keep the game up and running and make a little profit I'd consider a game a succes.

Well newbs are at the very least getting a new and improved tutorial thingy, have 2 sub forums, and have EVE Uni and RvB - All of which will be/are excellent sources of help, advice and information (admittedly RvBs advice usually comes after a glorious and fiery death Twisted ).

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.
