hi all we just moved over from virgin to sky and we got the usual wireless gubbins that goes with the package . for some reason or another i cant seem to get more than 3 bars on my network connection so the wife`s got me these things to try out so my question is ....do they actually work ?. does anyone else out there use them

supposedly yes, but i hear things that say the sender unit and reciver unit need to be on the same breaker. But I do not think this is the case with all breaker boxes. Considering the price, something like $50 for a pair, you can buy a set and try it out.

I use them for my Xbox connection to the internet. They're Voodoo, but they work for me.

yes, they work. they are a little slower (like 1-2ms rather than <1ms on wired) but are a lot faster and more reliable than wireless. you need in the same breaker box.
