This is probably my 3rd attempt with Eve and after a few hours last night I totally get it, awesome game.
I'm sure the tutorials have been improved because I don't feel stupid this time around. Also the community here seem to use words and logic, I'm sure if I dig deep enough I'll find some that don't but the first glance is very welcoming.

Welcome to EVE, there are always people around willing to help. It can be very daunting at first but surely you have felt that it can be a very rewarding game with a great community! Big smile

You don't have to dig that deep. There just happen to be a good number of players dedicated to helping newbies.

I'd like to apologize on behalf of the EVE community for douchebags like Petrus being constructive and helpful. The Trial Citizens Q&A forum is a bit of an anomaly; try to stay out of it if you can. Stick to the more well-trolled areas of the boards like general discussion so you can be yelled at, trolled and harassed like on a proper forum.

Go look up www.theiskguide.com

and in my bio I have a link to a nice PDF someone made as a refrence guide to a lot of the little things in EVE (like which dmg type rats do, what kind of minerals can you get form which ore, etc)

He needs to redo it though since they homogenized the missile names hehe

Your first step in Eve should be to acquire a monocle, that will get your foot in the door with Eve's upper class. And should a servant slam your foot in the door the monocle gives you to authority to have him euthanized.
