Does anyone have experience with this? Unlike T3 component BPOs these how a wastage number. I realize that in many cases these BPOs are t prefect ME at 0.

IIRC, only PE research effects them.

Large volumes of highly researched Ammo, drones, charges and ship bpo's. Biggest BPO store in EVE! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=445524#post445524

No structure BPO is affected by ME. All BPO are affected by PE.

Always check the BPO for EXTRA materials, which are not subject to waste:

Extra materials are also displayed separately when getting a manufacturing quote (even if you don't have the materials).

Just have a peek at my blueprint calculator. It keeps the details for base materials and extra materials separately, so you can see easily what will be affected.

P4, the highest processed material from PI, is not affected by ME research at all. But if you look on contracts a lot of fools have wasted research time on POS module/array BPCs. Lol . Some of the lower classes of PI materials such as Oxygen are affected by ME research such as the Oxygen quantity in the new fuel block BPO's.

It comes down to:

Materials in the base material table (invTypeMaterials, also used for what you get for recycling) are affected by ME and your production efficiency
Materials in the extra materials table (ramMaterialRequirements (iirc)) aren't affected by ME, and only by PE if they also exist in the base material table.

There are also a lot of idiots (or marketing geniuses trying to sell to idiots) who research things past perfect. Like medium shield rigs, with an ME above 4.

Well, those fools did it, because the BPO's were originally effected by ME research.....or rather right before PI was implemented the NPC sold POS modules and towers could be bought and reprocessed to give you uber cheap P4 goods.......when could then be used to make other more profitable POS modules.....
When this came to light CCP nerfed the BPO's and turned all the ill gotten P4's into "broken" versions.....
So, this is why you cannot gain from ME research and cannot reprocess POS modules and get stuff back....

Too bad, life would be interesting if you could melt down POS modules and make other more profitable ones.
