My EVE

A few weeks back, Seismic Stan and Marc Scaurus were talking to me on twitter and we got to talking about the lore and backstory of Eve. One of them mentioned that the lore was incredibly deep and too complex to really dive into, just like the rest of the game (yes, yes, insert the ubiquitous "learning cliff of eve" here). Anyway, Stan asked if I'd be willing to type up a blog post or two to post on the brief history of Eve.

Well, flash to 3 weeks, 20,000 words, and 12 blog posts later, and my Lore Survival Guide is finally complete (so much for the short "blog post or two" bit... sorry Stan). Covering all the basic information on things from the history of the main empires to how warp drive works, I lay out the basic backstory of Eve in hopefully-witty fashion, while still cross-referencing everything I talk about to the main Eve fiction for anyone who's interested in digging a bit deeper. So if you've ever had questions on Eve or the backstory, I can at least let you know where to start.

It's been a very rewarding experience working with Mark on this project. Enjoyment of EVE's backstory isn't just for the hardcore RP crowd, good sci-fi is good sci-fi.
