Ah, there are so many.

The Orca with its unscannable cargo bay, reasonable price tag, and large cargo.

The Thorax...something about the do-or-die approach appeals to me, so basically any blaster based ship I love, because I am a masochist.

------> ergo

Proteus, Vindicator, Hyperion, Taranis, Deimos, etc...

you get the idea.

First come smiles, then lies. Last is gunfire.

Dominix - in pvp a neut domi is a wannabe curse, with a huge buffer tank and enough bonused drones to ruin anyone's day. Badly. Also, it's dirt cheap.

For me would have to be the dominix also. My First BS back in 2003.

I can remember two of us mining for ages in thoraxes so that we could get one just for extra turret so then we could mine quicker to get the second one.

Then taking said Dominix out to Curse to try and join CA, running past the SA camp in agil with multi props and WCS, only to be told by the guys in curse to leave or die. Then running past the same SA camp!

Fun times!

Uber versatile BS hull!

Pre barge days made a decent miner with drones.
Tanky for pve
vamps /drones for small gang pvp
shield, rails and sentries for larger gang stuff.

The Sentinel.

That flimsy, paper thin little brother to the Curse that barely sees the light of day, something that will die in a horrible fire should you make a single mistake.

I love the thing.

Tengu: 100mn afterburner fit can take down entire gangs solo if piloted rights.

Vagabond: For the pure gtfo ability

Legion: Because its smexy

Zealot: I love A-hacs and its always good to scream armour hacs on comms while pretending to be shadoo.

Other than those rokh and typhoon for pure lol tanking and dps and possible fiting configs.

I may get laughed at, but:

Hyperion, because when I first started playing I saw it as the top of the line (of sorts) for gallente, and made it my goal to get one...I still use that very ship for missions, when I bother with them. I do like its ability to fit a paper tank and still run them well, and in small gang pvp a dual rep hype sitting on gate is not something that's easily dealt with.

Also the T1 ceptors, probably among the most ignored combat ships in the game...

On my main, the Phoenix. It may look, and act, like a brick, but damn it, it's my brick, and I love it like a puppy.

On my alt, the Tornado. My day to day job deals with them, so having a ship named after one makes my day. Not to mention the 1400s with 110km optimal and the ability to not even fit a tank, because range is the tank. That scorpion over there at 150? Yep, it's not hitting me with cruise missiles or jams. It's me and him, sitting on a hole, with him getting all the free ammo he could ever need from my guns.

apoc navy is my baby. ridiculous dps and tank, easy-ass cap management, and hits out past 75km with pulse, scorch, and minimal assistance.

for something cheaper, i've always really liked the thrasher. derpaherping around in a 5-salvager fit in nullsec to find someone's wreck is always entertaining.

i make spreadsheets for pretty cheap. contact me for more info.

Curse.

I don't even fly it much when actively playing because people either run or they primary you, but I just love that ship.

Rattlesnake: It's kick ass at everything!

Cheapest cross faction ship so it doesn't hurt as bad to lose one in pvp.
Great spider tank.

Can run L4 active or afk, L5's, Incursions, wh's, complexes, 0.0 ratting.

Drones+Missles on a bs size scale is like no other play style.

Huge tank makes you a bad gank target.

BEST AFK MISSION SHIP IN GAME! Huge tank with heavy drones and f.o.f. missles and just walk away.

Con: It takes a lot of sp to max out.

Tengu
-because I can do whatever I want with, the only limitation is the hybrid sub but it's for me the most interesting ship to fly and not because it's a beast with faction/officer/DED fit at over 3B. Any ship at that fit price will be a beast.
Simply fit it T2 and enjoy what "versatility" means.

Megathron Navy
-because I spent so much time training exclusively for this ship, so much time spent searching the perfect optimal fit and so much time flying it. (90% of my career)

Daredevil
-because it's a little beast that dies pretty, probably because of the Gallente gene in it

Hurricane
-once hated, once tested since then adopted and I just can't stop using it. Such easy fitting ship, performance whatever is shield or armor, whatever is arty or autos, this ship is simply awesome.

Cynabal
-interceptor speed/agility, battle cruiser firepower, if that ship ever gets T2 resists my hangar will be full off at all fit sauces.

I like so many ships more: Enyo, Comet, Wolf (armor one), Jaguar, Kitsoune and so many more but also the old T1 Execuror and logi with, I now it's crap as tank and caps out faster that you can rep something decently with but I like it ;)
