What the **** is this bollocks? Jesus christ, I wish they had some actual PVPers on the UI team because this is just completely stupid. The old regular and fast blinking was so much easier to assess at a glance... this crap is harder to read. 'Overview' my arse.

No I didn't see real reason to change the animation as old one worked fine too. That I agree with.

The main difference with this and neocom blinky is, that new neocom blinky made it rather impossible to tell when secondary event triggers the blinky again. This overview blinky didn't break any similar functionality. It is just cosmetic and related to personal taste. Some like, some don't. There was no real reason to change it, but I won't die even it was changed. Was it wise to change it? Probably not.

Let's all the other UI improvements in 1.2 are quite amazing...

And this is a minor minor issue, IMO.
