There was a small patch today, I downloaded it and it installed normally, after the patch there was a problem with my desktop shortcut and I went to eve folder to notice that my eve.exe had been lost in the process.

I tried using repair.exe and it wanted to update, after the update it also deleted the repair.exe and now I have repair.exe_azbeta left.

Edit: What I'm trying to ask I suppose, is that, is there any way to get eve.exe back without reinstalling the whole game?

I went into the Eve Folder, renamed the repair.exe_Azbeta thing to repair.exe then ran it. Works now :)

Exactly the same problem here;

- EVE.exe shortcut gone
- Repair.exe gone after using it.
- Renamed one of the repair.exe.xxxxx files to repair.exe
- Started the repair
- EVE client works again

This was done on a Win 7 64-bit OS.

Thanks for that folks!

I had exactly the same problem and the fix above worked.

Also using Win 7 64-bit OS and Eve is installed in a non-default folder (i.e. I install games on a raid 0 partition for faster loading)
