Best dev blog this year so far. Full of content which makes the playerbase happy and promises more to come. They're even fixing the new turret icons! Now that's what I call attention to detail!

I'm staying subbed well after xmas if this is the sort of stuff CCP will be delivering to us over the next year.

Thankyou for listening CCP and thankyou Torfi and everyone else working on this content for us. We know it's not as impressive or amazing as completely new T3 ships or WIS but we really appreciate it because it makes such a big difference to our gameplay.

As much as I look forward to an expanded Incarna and establishments, having to load up the WiS environment EVERY TIME I docked was just killing my multiboxing (and I run a high end system). This is a big move toward functionality again.

Well.... I'd.... I'd buy a plane ticket and take my middle aged big fat bald "hairy back" ass to Iceland. Find the nearest dev and give him a great "big ole" sloppy wet kiss right on the lips. Ugh

I'll start saving my pizza/soda/candy money now. Shave my nose hairs so I won't tickle the dev's nose when I kiss him/her.

Must tell mom I will be gone for a few so she won't rent out the basement while I'm gone.

Might take 2+ months to save up enough money for two coach seats. (Must be trying to tell me something PC'ness doesn't allow them to verbally.) I buy three on long flights, just more room I say.

Hot bowl of Pinto beans helps to settle the pre-flight jitters. Just before I board the plane, I enjoy a fat Cuban cigar, and once we're at crusing level I like to drink those tiny little bottles of liquor with peanuts, yum! Anyone know why they make those emergency exits so small?

Anywhoo, just wouldn't seem appropriate if I weren't able to get there shortly after the ship spinning release. I guess we all can see "TIME" is of an essence here. Blink

Any ideas on when we'll see this stuff on SISI other than soon™?

Edit: Mainly because I don't understand what all these technical terms mean...

* Fixed the incorrect specular behavior
* Fixed shader texture gamma issues
* Implemented a new specular glossiness model
* The specular reflection is tinted by the color of the light
* Added diffuse and specular fresnel
* Added specular light from indirect light (spherical harmonics)
* Calibrated the BRDF presets to the ones in character creator

Specular? Fresnel? BRDF? All I'm hearing is this.. Lol

If they don't fix the underlying CPU issues though then this could in fact be bad news however, CCP's way of fixing the poor technical aspects of CQ seems to be "we will give you the option not to use it, if your CPU doesn't like it, then don't use it"

You should spend more time reading (and understanding) the Dev Blog than you did posting.

its like when Coke changed their receipe disasterously, the public hated them, Coke changed it back, and the public acted like they did this amazing thing.

I think people need to tone down the applause and praise for the reintroduction of features that should have never left.
