Last wave dissapearing

I was doing a sleeper magnetometric site and had to warp out on the last wave (BS, some cruisers and some frigates) and on returning they were all gone....does this always happen? just sleepers? just magnetometric?

yes, that's a special feature of w-space radar and mag sites.

It's not always absolutely immediate but once everyone leaves the grid they do tend to despawn rather quickly.

The way we would handle this, was to place a cloaky alt on-grid whenever we were running them ... even the easy ones. That way if you have to leave for any reason (including RL visitors or phone calls) the site is preserved for you to come back to.

The flipside of this is if you return to such a site and it has not despawned, and you don't have someone ongrid, then you might be concerned that a non-friendly cloaky is sitting there somewhere.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

This also happens for Fortification Frontier Stronghold in a C3 wh if you kill the preserver in the last wave and then warp away. Best is to check the mission guides and read the player comments.

Had to laugh. I remember the first time it happened to me. You know what happened but don't want to accept it...
