I would agree, but they are basically just undoing parts of incarna.

Still its a step forward and shows they are listening.


IF it happens then it means that CCP took something away from the player base, then CCP heard all the complaints, saw a reflection of said complaints in the increase in subscription terminations, etc, and then decided to go back and reverse engineer/totally recode something that was incompatible with CCP's cemented business progression and gave it back to their player base.

IF this occurs CCP will have diverted from sustaining a lore breaking mechanism at the request from the player population.

IF this occurs then this will be a far greater victory then when the forum user base relished when the privilege to discuss games other then EVE on the forums was returned after a great rage.

Whining. Whining has changed. It's an endless series of proxy whines, dealt by the bitter and the never-satisfied. When their minds are easily controlled, whining becomes routine.

This is a good start, CCP. Assuming you follow through, this is a step in the right direction. You've shown you're willing to at least listen to player concerns and (finally) react well to them. I, and I'm sure many others, appreciate that. Thank you.

I want you to understand something, though. While this is a step in the right direction, it is only a step. Right now you are treating the symptoms. Since I'm not a CCP insider I can't tell whether or not you are also treating the cause. Don't expect you can throw some quick fixes out there and be done with it. What is causing you issues - the root of the problem - is the perceived lack of commitment to EVE in general and FiS in particular. Take this "attaboy" you've earned and use it as motivation to continue down the right path with new FiS content and fixes to existing content (FW, SC, drones, etc). If you're really on your game, you might even turn me back into an optimist.

Also, yay for no more door. Door is evil. Door needs to die.

So in the end the view of the ship undocked will be better due to the fitting icons.

Most of the joy in this thread is that CCP hasn't completely given up on the player base's input.

Though a lot of the joy is premature until we see it on the real game server...

What the community should do at this point is challenge CCP to prove it has a QC department still and release this relatively minor patch with NO BUGS.

I like to think of this as a roll-back of the Incarna patch, although the crappy new UI isn't being fixed.
