I have noticed how the brightness of the suns makes it near impossible to see your H.U.D if you have it pinned. It is a problem I am sure they can fix.

I have this problem too. I've always just assumed it's the bloom effect going nuts. I've noticed this happen on a smaller scale with objects in space getting covered in a white blob. Used to happen for me all the time on starbase control towers. Since a star is much brighter it would make sense for the whole screen to go white.

I get it in any system, when the sun is visible on the screen an 'sun is occluded by objects' is checkmarked.

I've had the problem for a while, it doesn't bother me too much, quickly looking away from the sun and looking back at it usually fixes the issue.

And it normally happens when I'm warping so it doesn't effect my ability to do most things.

I feel really lucky that none of my computers or my friends computers have this problem. >_> We all use NVidia cards, though. I don't think there's an ATI in this household. lol Pirate

bumping as this issue is starting to really annoy me.

i used to have an ATI 5750 and now a 6850. makes no difference.

i don't have steps to replicate. it's fine for a while and then the screen starts flickering white like crazy and will only stop if i rotate the camera away from the sun

Any others suffering from this very annoying graphic bug?

I see it all the time when the sun is "on-screen" too.

I was honestly about to write a sarcastic troll comment about this but you know what? Fix it CCP, people already have to deal with douchebags in EVE Online they don't need the game causing them medical problems when they log out as well.

Seems to happen most when all the little white planet and gate and other icons clump up around the source of the sun flare / center of the sun. I think they are acting as unintended occlusions.

Happens to me quite often, not in every system but in several. i have a MSI Radeon 6870 Hawk Edition GPU, and i am using two monitors, max graphics settings. Not sure what makes it happen in some solar systems and not others.

Edit: While i do have two monitors as many people have also stated, it does happen even if im only running ONE client. It only happens when the sun is in the field of vison as well.

toggling the 'sun is occluded by' option thingy stopped the white flashes at least.

Another problem is the light they make come from the gas clouds is then multiplied by the sun. Make it either or, not both. Most of the time i have to turn the camera a completely opposite way than I want to look because of bright lights.

We're in the super far future and the ship cockpits don't have auto darkening.

I still can't get any white flicker, other than an Amarr gate once in a while. How bad is it?

Though the sun's shine on clouds is really painful...

I have the same issue. Multiple star systems, I could discern no pattern with respect to location. Just have the sun in the FOV with objects in the line of sight of the sun.

Laptop, one client, LCD, 1920x1080, AMD Radeon HD 6990M, i7-2670QM cpu. Usually windowed mode, but it occurs in full screen also.

I have a bloom problem. When ever I pan the camera towards the sun, there's a flash and my screen turns white. If I keep panning, the screen returns to normal. However, if I stop panning the camera when the flash happens, my whole screen remains white. I can still see the overview and the HUD, but all of space is white. I can't see my ship, the stars, other ships, and anything near me. It's very annoying
