Good day:

This is excellent reading material no matter what pvp ship you want to learn how to fly.

Plus the Rifter Drifter blog is an excellent source to help increase your kill rate.

For example, I never thought of loading Null S on my Taranis until I read about the success rate for Wensley's Ishkur.

Since then, I've solo'd more ships with less damage and greater success than before I knew that little tidbit.

Thank you.

null ftw for frigs .... but neutrons and some ion setup can work with some other alternatives. but for electrons I allways prefer to load null - especially when fighting AC ships.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I'm glad people are still finding the guide useful. I know its a touch out of date. Hopefully when life slows down a touch I'll get around to releasing an updated version. Glad people are finding it useful for other frigates as well as Rifters.

Thanks for writing this guide. I really enjoy Frigate PVP, but that may be more of an ISK issue.... Anyhow I went ahead and added a link to this thread in the Warfare and Tactics resources page on the EVElopedia.

Why not a sticky? I mean don't get me wrong, i appreciate that you linked it in the resources, but not many peeps use the EVElopedia, why can't we just has sticky?

And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell.

I agree. Please sticky it.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

CCP has a policy against stickying things unless they're official announcements or somesuch; same reason why The Beginner's Guide to Piracy was unstickied a long while back.

But, regular bumping is almost as good. : > Show your dedication and give this thread a weekly bump. It's even easier to do now that you can tag the thread as a favorite so you don't have to go hunting.

It's a very good guide, but that it's good means that its errors are more dangerous to its readers.

Jump cloak really is 60 seconds

And since it's at the same spot, there's no longer a session change when you change ships in a station.

Quote:
A Punisher with maximum
skills pilot using Medium Pulse Laser IIs and Multifrequency ammunition can hit to 3.8 +
2.5 km while an Incursus with Light Neutron Blaster IIs and Antimatter can hit for 1.1 +
4.7 km. So, by orbiting at range you can limit your opponents ability to do damage while
still being able to hit them yourself.

This is for rookies, yeah? Who don't have a lot of experience with other empires' ships, yeah? Then you might point out that Punishers can have crystals other than Multi. One guy, who I'm sure read your guide, was surprised when I could still hit him at range.

The guide is a PDF, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader or, my own personal preference, the faster, lighter weight, less overall crappy and probably less full of security holes FoxIt PDF Reader.

Thanks to everyone who has posted me feedback on the guide. At some point in between not logging into Eve sessions I'll actually make some changes and release version 2.1. Because this is about a CCP game you can expect the next version soon (TM).

This is the guide that brought my into PvP.
And I just can't thank Wensley enough. xD
All EvE players, whether PvEr or PvPr should read this, for various reasons.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I prefer posting with my main.
