New player looking for a place to call home

Hello, I am a fairly new player. I got a month of classes under my belt, and feel ready to meet the world. I am looking for a small and friendly corporation that loves to do PvE, is young as a corporation and is building up. I'd love to help you build as I learn the paths of this game. I am not looking for any freebies that all the other corporations seem to offer, I'm self-reliant and prefer to keep it that way, but nevertheless I like to help out those that help others. If your core-business is PvP, or is a major side business, then please do move on to the next thread, as I do not belong in your corporation. I am playing 2 characters on 2 accounts, for both I like to have the same home.

Something about the player behind the characters

  • 41 years old, with a lot of game time on my hands
  • European timezone (I'm Dutch)
  • Lot of experience in other MMO's (for what it's worth as Eve truly seems an odd one out)
  • Perfect understanding of Englizh, ability to listen on voice comms, but I do not want to buy a microphone

  • Despise PvP, and particularly the trash talking that usually goes with it
  • Love to do crafting and play healers

Something about my charaters
Kelebethel is taking science classes, and would love to work on blueprints and produce items for her friends. She recently started her first R&D missions and is now getting datacores on a daily basis. She likes to expand on this and is working on R&D faction standings by doing missions, lots of missions. Kelebethel is the proud owner of 4 planets in gallente space, but her planets are producing without any real goals, since she has no purpose (yet) for the produce. One day she'd like to have her own PoS, or help build one for her allies.

Unfortunately Kelebethel can only fly the most basic of Gallente vessels, since she has no combat nor pilot training (Navitas, Iteron I, and Catalyst are here main ships, but it is sufficient to do level 3 mining missions, and level 4 distrubution missions.)

Celebeth loves to clean out asteroid belts. She recently finished classes to fly a retriever. When time permits she'd love to learn to fly the incredible hulk. In her spare time she is taking classes to fly an Osprey support vessel, with which she hopes to do corporation missions. She loves to provide stability to team members, and simply loves to die before anyone else does. If time permits she would love to expand her knowledge of shield transfer systems, and one day step into a basilisk, with which she believes she can keep her team alive in just about any situation. If necessary she can change this plan and learn more about armour repairing instead. Like her sister she is the owner of 4 planets, but suffers from the same disease: aimless building.

There you have it. If you think your corporation has a need for my presence (even if it's just a modest one), then please let me know something about your team, either in this thread or in the game. I can be contacted via my holodeck (Kelebethel Laurinafen).

Well, Team Pizza is recruiting, but no Microphone is a bit of a dealbreaker unfortunately.

I am sure someone will be happy not having to listen to my babbling, so that's ok. :)

Our alliance has corps dedicated to what you are looking for and many on the EU TZ and some Dutch. I wont suggest my corp because I do focus moreso on PvP, but one of our alliance corps (Matari Munitions) may be a perfect fit for you.

Many of us are in the same age range and have families. Everyone is pretty mature in game (no-trolls)

Fight them until turmoil is no more and strike terror into their hearts. www.ross-fw.net

Hi thank you for letting me know. I will try to contact the CEO of your partner corporation for a conversation.

With my skill set though I think it's not going to be a smart idea to move to a territory where I can only depend on others. I would get killed by the first NPC that spots me. That can't be in my interest nor in that of the corporation.

So perhaps I should add to my application that I think it's wise for me, and interested corporations, that I remain in high-sec, where I am pretty much free to do whatever it is enjoy. Also I still need to work on my R&D faction standings before moving permanent, if at all.

Kelebethel,

Coming from somewhat the same background as you (Dutch, same age etc) I think I understand your attitude towards PVP. Yet, after hardcore carebearing for a few years (2008-2010) that got terribly boring.. so we moved to nullsec, where I had to pvp virtually for the first time in my eve career. I wanted to live out here, where the PVE rewards were bigger and there's more excitement ..? Well, in that case I needed to step up, accept responsibility and join whatever PVP was needed to protect our home. We're not bloodthirsty for the sake of it (at least most of us arent :) but we have to protect what's ours. So yes .. pvp. Without smack talk I must say, often just a 'gf' in local once the dust settles.

I don't suppose you'd be interested to find out what this kind of life in nullsec means, but if you're intrigued, I'd be more than happy to answer any follow up questions. I'm available through No Fixed Channel or in game mail.

Hey (to all),

I received several mails in game as well as the replies here. I'm sure there will be a corporation amongst it where I can be happy and enjoy Eve to the fullest.

I'd like to respond to everyone that mailed me and or replied here. I think I need to consider this thread closed or I need to hire a secretary to go through my administration.

THanks
