Actually, it's not the first thing I want, but it's definitely up there.

One thing that really needs to change with Incursions is that player conflict is fully injected into the mix, perhaps that means less 'blinged out' ships as a result. But the last thing I want is a game that has high value PvE that is largely insulated from threat of other players... Themepark style grouped PvE raids have no place in a player conflict driven sandbox MMORPG, none at all!

That said, having someone who regularly pushes highsec war mechanics to great ends could be valuable in upcoming discussions about low sec and high sec changes that will surely be a focus in at least one of the next 2 expansions.

Don't be flattered Iam, he tells every candidate to go for it.

I see you were able to quote back your original quote that I quoted. Nice work.

Would you mind explaining again in what context are gay jokes are ok for CSM members? or calling each other douchebags? I think the rest of the voters deserve to know, if you've already lost my vote because you're a close minded bigot with a tiny platform riding on a cloud of grief.

I'm sure you're exactly what high sec players really want.

You are acting like a complete idiot. If you actually LOOKED at the original post you were quoting, I did not write that Trebor was a douche. I barely even know who Trebor is. Look again.

I was asked by someone to forget about the political pretense, show some personality, and display some culture; so that's what I did. Apparently you are not good material for the kinds of groups we hang out with, because you seem to have no sense of (or indeed tolerance for) humor whatsoever.

I'm quite sure that nobody in PRONS has any problem whatsoever with homosexuals; we just joke with each other that we, or the others in the corp, are gayer than festival clowns. It's a minicultural thing, a humorous outlet, much the same way we are constantly telling everyone else in corp how terrible they are and how they should go back to mining veld in a Bantam, or how we just got a phone call from Seldarine and he says to let them know that they're terrible and they don't want to get better.

Gay jokes are inappropriate in the CSM, and calling other CSM members douchebags is not constructive. I'm not a bigot in the tiniest way, and you sound very very mad.

I will not be responding to this attack again.

I'm not a bigot but it's cool to bash homosexuals in my ~miniculture~ which was taken out of context.

Actually, you would make a good politician. +1 m7 o8 fly safe

Couldn't have put it better myself. However, I will say this:

I believe I can clarify for Pinky--
"The last thing you want is people losing their blinged out Incursion ships for months due to unwanted game mechanics from an arcane side-effect of a war dec change that nobody understands."

CCP took the approach of rather than making it more clear to the players that remotely assisting other players was dangerous, they instead decided to just make it as safe as the most insular newbie thought it was. They should go back and revisit it, making it less safe again, but making sure that everyone knows how and why things can happen.

That's the essence of my platform right there.

So I'm here to announce

That I'm not gonna make it for this CSM election. Sorry guys. Details here.

Yeah, this is lousy, but it's not all over. Not only will I be able to get a better run at it next year, but this year Alekseyev Karrde is definitely the man you want to vote for.

If you thought you wanted to vote for me, well then this is the guy you want to vote for. He might not have as much experience living on the edge of the exploit, but he's an excellent candidate and probably the single most important candidate to defend the very existence of PVP as we know it. There are multiple threats to this in the running, malicious and simply dim-witted, and if they had their way (not that CSMs do, but they have an influence) there would be nothing to protect the ideal. EVE could be divided into clear 'safe zones,' most of its players could be virtually unassailable, and all kinds of terrible things could result.

I have talked with Aleks, and he's a smart dude who knows what he's talking about. I believe he has the best interest of the game at heart, and the only disagreements that have surfaced between us in discussion have been matters of expression and miscommunications.

Vote for him. Show your support. Do it as if you were voting for me. If you had talked to me about a particular concern or something that I promised that I would look into if elected, tell me about it, or tell him directly, either one is fine.

Thanks for your time.
