For reference, I only do missions, PVP and exploration. No interest whatsoever in trading, incursions or missioning for other factions.

Is there any advantage in keeping all main faction standings positive I may not be aware of ?

Thanks in advance.

If you'd like to not be chased by the local navy when visiting their regions, it's a good idea to remain above -5.

You can hop LP stores across factions based on market pressures. If you're so inclined.

Usually the main reasons for having positive standings with all Empire Factions is ability to go anywhere, access to all agents and option to anchor POS in high sec.

By letting faction standings drop too far you start reducing your future options. Remember that your current set of activities may not be exactly what you're doing in the future.

If you're exploring you keep your options open by being able to wander into anyone's space without being shot-on-sight.
If you end up playing in w-space the same applied ... you never know exactly where your empire statics will bring you out today.
If you decide, sometime, that you'd like to try all the lvl3 and 4 epic arcs you will need some love from all the main factions or chosen corps amongst them.

Keeping your standings with every major faction on the sunny side of -2 will let you start working with their corps without having to undertake any major standings recovery grind.

When I was a minmatar / gallente mission runner my Amarr / Caldari / Angels standings got to be pretty bad. Except for angels it never got to shoot-on-sight but it did become a major nuisance when I discovered the lvl4 epic arcs and the pirate arcs.
I ground, and then found DMC's faction standing recovery plan, and now I try to keep them all mediocre but balanced ... although the only missions I run now are the epic arcs.

So, IMO, keeping them all not-too-bad mainly offers you easy flexibility in the future ... as well as safe access to all space while exploring / wormholing.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Noticed you sell pirate arc bookmarks. Is it a requirement having positive standings with angels ?
