So, while ago I got the "itch" to start playing eve again, and so resubbed and jumped back on. Game looks quite nice now.

So, how are the power rankings now? When I unsubbed, I was cross training into Matar after more or less finishing the Caldari line. Has Matar been buffed at all? Is my apparently Fully T2 fitted and rigged Rokh more or less useless now? How about my almost perfect heavy Drake flying skills?

I started out as a Caldari pilot and later trained Amarr. I love it. Max armor and shield skills with the ability to fly just about any ship in both races between missiles and lasers. I am biased against ships that are held together with gum and duct tape so I would recommend working on Amarr. Frankly though...with the recent buff to blasters and rails the Rokh has become quite a nice ship again.

Bounties for all! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2279821#post2279821

Minmatar has been good for a long time and still is. Hybrids and their ammo just got buffed, so your Rokh will be better then it was before and easier to fit. Drake will soon get the nerbat/buff, depending on who you ask, as more balancing changes come. The actual change is planned to make the drake less tanky and more DPS oriented.

So is Void Neutron Blaster cannons viable? Because I apparently have a hold full of Faction ammo.

Matar got buffed in Dominion and has been good ever since.

Then for a long time hybrids/gallente ships were bottom of the line, as they just couldn't keep up with the vastly superior range of AC's with barrage/lasers with scorch/drakes with heavy missiles. So now they've received buffs to DPS, tracking, fitting space, and Null, so chances are your Rokh can put up a pretty good fight now. (IIRC, some 0.0 alliances now have a Rokh doctrine?)

A new "underpowered" race hasn't emerged yet, as everyone's still adjusting to the changes, so just go with whatever you feel like flying P

Interesting. I figured someone would but didn't think it would be PL.

PL have been using Shieldcats (425mm railrokhs) since early last year, well before crucible. They are very effective against BC gangs especially. Crucible just made them even better.

Everything has more or less been properly balanced. You'll still here people whining but it's the same stuff they have been whining about since...forever (nerf drake, stop suicide ganking etc etc)

Armor seems to have gotten a buff, not exactly armor itself but Amarr and Gallente can definitely counter Minmatar and Caldari shields now.

The BCs are really awesome. They can't tank much but they are so good at blowing stuff up.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Weapons all work based on an Optimal so the guy who dictates Optimal, wins. That would be the faster ship, that would be Winmatar. They also happen to be the only race with high damage, longe ranged weapons so they took both prizes.

It happened during the great nano nerf that also took missles off the table. Drones were never on the table, they were just an excuse to not do anything for Gallente.

Anyone who has played the game since bandwidth was introduced (Or anybody with a functional cerebrum who can read) knows that Domi drone swarms and the swarms from other drone boats kicked the living **** out of everything they locked onto, namely due to the 15+ drones beating the **** out of anything at close range. And drop the sop story about Blasters being useless before the patch, they were great for station games and GC's.

The pie is a tautology

Drones like missles got the all or nothing treatment. They are either OP or they are utter junk. Much like missles, they took away the offence but they never touched the prenerf penalty those same ships had. Domi drone cap, nerfed. Domi lock time buffed? Of course not. Domi speed increased? Hell no. That's why they are called nerfs. They don't balance the ships. They just chop limbs off.

If you feel the need to puke out rambling subtleties about something that happened in 2004 making me a noob because I started in 2006, roll on. Whine? Never. I just don't agree with you and have no plans of starting because you see yourself as elitist.
