RE-ELECT DARIUS III FOR CSM 7

Hi, my name is Darius III and I would like to continue to represent you as CSM. I have experience, determination and charm.
I will be editing this post later on to help explain my views and disseminate my platform, but for now, this will have to do.

I have refrained from making a post till now because I assumed we had to wait for the official candidate list to be published as per CCP's timeframe on the elections here. But like many things CCP does, this seems to have have had unintentional consequences, i.e. many people trying to get their "hundred likes" before the nomination stage. Thus, I am forced to follow suit and make formal declaration early.

As you may know, I have done things to balance the content in New Eden, some of these have been as CSM and some I did without CCP-by changing content on my own as a player. I was a part of a coalition that forced CCP to acknowledge that perhaps incursions were imbalanced. I asked CCP as CSM to rebalance them-as well as to nerf players ability to end all incursions. At the same time, we ended all incursions to force discussion. In the latter regard-we were wildly successfulPirate

As you may not know, I made many suggestions to CCP regarding many areas of gameplay that are broken, ridiculous, imbalanced or just don't make sense. I made positive contributions during the "Emergency Summit" while trolling CCP and the CSM members at the same time.

I fulfilled every campaign promise I made last year, namely to have fun with the election and to suicide gank at least 1 person per week for the duration of my office.

This year I have a diversified and comprehensive platform that I hope to introduce via edit of a post below. Thank you for your time, and good luck to the others runniing-D3

Didn't get enough NDA leaking during CSM6?

If Re-Elected, I will work towards getting some of the following things implemented:

Arenas: I would like to see CCP add an arena feature. Many of us log on and try to get combat for hours at a time without getting blobbed. Semi moderated PvP with easy access would provide many more combat opportunities and would be hailed as the single greatest expansion in Eve history. If an arena feature was introduced that would allow 1 v 1 to as many as 15 v 15 person fights in hisec, in a semi moderated fashion-it would likely double subscriber numbers. Lack of a 'fair fight' that is easy to get is one of the chief complaints of players throughout New Eden.

My arena proposal would include an official combat ranking and ladder system as well as mechanisms to keep unwanted participants out of the combat zone. It would be consensual, and take place in a small zone inside hisec/lowsec. It would be somewhere between what we have now and a "World Of Tanks" system where you can expect to get PvP within 15 minutes or so after logging on. Even the most bittervets who are unsubbed would rejoin us for this feature.

I propose that tokens would be required to enter and the tokens would drop from missions, making mission income rise without adding ISK to the game, or would be made from charters and minerals to provide more ISK to the mining community.

Rebalancing Incursions: I would urge CCP to take ISK out of Vanguards and into Scout and Assault sites as well as rescale difficulty in all three. I would like to see players ability to end all incursions nerfed as well. Ideally there would always be at least one Hi-Sec incursion available and no single small group of players could remove this popular and dynamic content.

LowSec re-tooled. I would like to see Titans and Motherhsips nerfed in Lowsec and Npc nullsec. Supercapital proliferation is a major hindrance to smaller and mid-sized corps and alliances. Lowsec is the riskiest place in game and offers the worst rewards for effort expended. Introduction of more varied, higher paying Lowsec content is long overdue. A rewriting of the Security system would be a primary goal.

Some smaller things:

There should be an "Autofire" feature weapons that reactivates your weapons after reloading. The ability to continuously fire should not be restricted to one weapon group-lasers, like it is now. Anyone who ever had to a POS/Structure shoot that took over 10 minutes knows this is a major pain, and provides nothing besides an annoyance.

There should be an "All Stop" button that keeps your ship in place when activated. Anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes at a gate knows this is an issue.

Control Space should deactivate your propulsion modules. When you tell your ship to stop, obviously the AB/MWD should shut itself off.

The "Target at War" warning should be able to be disabled and not interrupt the rep cycles for Neutral reppers in combat. Although this only affects a limited number of players-it is more than annoyance and needs fixing.

Destructible stations-Player Owned stations should be able to be destroyed, or damaged to more of a degree than what is now possible to do.

New Space should be added, and in the newly created regions-Supercapitals and Titans would not be able to be constructed or enter the Space. As mentioned above, Supercapital proliferation is a huge stumbling block to entering nullsec.
There would be no local either.

The proposed Drake rebalance (read: Nerf) is an abomination and should be aborted. The arguement that drakes do everything is wildly inflated. They are multipurpose ships, but not overpowered in any one regard.

Developers should be allowed to play openly.

Fix the broken Faction timers in Hisec.

Fix the forum mechanic that eats all posts that take longer than Three minutes to write. Why is this happening and why hasnt it been fixed?

I have approximately 20 more suggestions and will list them in a later post, but these are the more prominent things I would like to see implemented/changed.

You verbally abused me in local after I gave a "Hello, brick squad" to you and your friends, I have never done anything to spite you or your alliance. You should be ashamed of attacking a person who's only attribute you know of is their alliance and basing your assumptions and abuse on that.

You don't deserve my vote or the votes of the citizens of EVE.

You tried to hold space in null sec. You failed. It's understandable, it's a rough place.

You tried to go after carebears in incursions with your gimmick attempt to draw attention to yourself. You failed horribly. In fact, the carebears put aside their differences and turned your MOM liberation fleets into a prolific joke over and over again. They had lots of fun hearing your fleets burn, your ships go pop and your members cry about not getting paid. Now nobody trusts you in a leadership role (well, the smart ones can see through your steaming pile of stupid).

YOU FAILED AGAINST CAREBEARS AND THEY DRANK YOUR TEARS WITH PROLIFIC ORGASMIC LUST. This is unacceptable.

I couldn't care about the CSM until I heard about your infamous demonstration of incompetence. I'm going to throw all my votes on Drapo Llasa because if he wins and you don't, you will cocoon yourself into a pod in the fetal position and try to inject yourself into any womb that would support your poison presence. EVE will laugh and toast as another terrible representative of the human race is removed with a justified abortion.

Keep being you, but the jester cannot be king.

Breaking NDA isn't a reason not to vote for somebody honestly. That's a legal determination and between CCP and the CSM member. Being a CSM who never participated and was largely AWOL for the vast majority of his term is a bigger reason to not consider him.

Ok finally someone who speaks with reason then. To me NDA is a company thing, not something I care for as a gamer, I'd rather have more insight than less into what CSM and CCP does than the opposite.

So you are saying Darius never did a good job basically?

Good job implies 'job' which means something was done be it good or bad.

Hmm, who to vote for... first xarius or whatever turns out to be a possible child predator, the other goon lady wont answer my questions and darius does not work, some are care-bears...

What is your stance on low-sec?

You can't have a D3 thread without a few fireworks. It seems current CSM members are intent on slandering Fair Darius' campaign early. Let me just say this reeks of petty jealousy- and if you feel so threatened by Darius' popularity as to try and slander his good name - then no one is going to think very highly of you.
