Hello MD!

Basically I Am looking Towards a Freighter[Providence so i can expand more on my Mineral and PI bringing in more cash and so on.And Basically I was wondering does anyone offer Hire Purchase?Basically What it is,
Real Life Example.

.Joe Is Looking To Buy A Car At 25,000 Euro.He Does not particularly want to get a bank loan so he looks at hire purchase. He Puts down A deposit of 5,000 euro and then begins paying installments[HP Company Works Out The Installment Amount]plus a little bit of interest. He gets to use the car while he is paying it off and then on the final payment the car becomes his.

Now i Know in EVE you could get a loan on a hulk and pay it off via mining but i do not have800mil, i think its 800mil is a providence[in A WH atm] and im fairly sure i do not have any collateral to cover that.

So My Question Is,Does Anyone Know/Offer Such A Service Like Hire Purchase Where.

.Someone Gets A Loan.
.Someone Gets The item Needed
.Then Repay The Loan.
.Without collateral
.Which includes a massive trust factor

Its called lease-to-purchase in real life.

You will be extremely hard pressed to find anyone willing to loan you 800m or the freighter with no collateral and no reputation.

Actually Hire-Purchase is in use commonly where I come from (in real life) too. I guess it's a localisation thing.

In any case, it would be hard to enact hire-purchase terms properly in new eden where repossession of the item is only possible by consent of the defaulting party. HP is used to obtain the item before making the full payment. So you are really looking at an non-collateralized loan.

This sort of arrangement would work for some assets, such as BPOs, where you could get access to locked down BPOs that someone purchases for you, letting you pay for it in installments.

As above, anything else is just an uncollateralised loan.

Well I Have An Orca,Which is Really the only proper collateral i have and its not even half the value of a Providence. And Even then the Orca I use for corp ops.We Shall See what happens.

Side Question:There Is probably no services doing no-collateral loans.I Could get a loan, use the freighter as collateral and see what repayments would be like...

Using the freighter as collateral on its own loan would essentially be someone buying a providence and sitting on it until you pay off the loan. You'd be better off just saving up the isk yourself. No interest that way and you'd still have access to the ship in about the same amount of time. Nobody is going to let you use your collateral until the loan is paid off.

The only uncollateralized loans you're likely to get are from people that already trust you. Pitch the benefits of having a freighter pilot to your corp.
